Never in my life have I ever used a cheat code. Not even once. Yes, I'm a freak, but I believe it's more enjoyable and a much more rewarding experiece once you beatin' the game.
When I first started playing games I would often use cheats, but I soon realized how much they ruined they fun of a game.
Now 99.9999% of the time I don't use cheats, and the extremely few times that I do use them they are cheats that simple change how something looks in the game (without making the game any easier) or I use them in to make the game easier for friends who've never played.
Using cheats that make the game easier to complete in the 'story mode' just ruin the game, making playing the game pointless.

I don't use cheats for cheating purposes (infinite life, infinite ammo) but more for fun. I miss cheat codes though. Videogames should be fun but everyone is too pretentious to have something like a big head mode.
ive used some a long time ago to get thru stuff, back on the snes/64/ps, but now the only time i use cheats is when i wanna mess about with a game ive allready beat
Nope, use to alot on the GTA games (Cept IV) but other than that I didn't really bother with cheats. Last time I actually cheated on a game other than GTA was the first Crash Bandicoot with its super-long-unlock-all-level cheat.
I used codes to unlock Daredevil and Silver Surfer in MUA b/c it would just be a chore to unlock them otherwise. But besides that, after games seemed too easy after playing DMC, I just stopped using codes. It just seemed pointless after getting better from playing one of the hardest games of all time.

I agree. How can you achieve a sense of accomplishment if there's no challenge? Without a challenge, how can a game even be considered a game? I'm not talking LITTLE challenge here, I'm talking NO challenge. I am aware that some cheats only make the game slightly easier, but other cheats really remove ALL challenge from a game.
Whats up with all the people saying you never use them, and it ruins it. Do you mean you dont use them the first time around, or that even after you have beat the game you still refuse to use cheats? Im not dissing you are anything but care to explain more? For me i play the game with out cheats untill i beat it. Then afterwards i love to mess around the game world with cheats. It adds a ton of replay value to the game and its fun to just screw around.
