Do you think I will still be able to get a N64 in 3 years time?

Yes you will. Most of the games haven't aged very well at all though(Goldeneye). It might just be best if you never play the system again and leave your fond memories of the games untarnished.

You can get an N64 for $20 and many games are only $5 to $10. I don't see how you couldn't get one. If gaming is even a casual hobby for you, you're dropping much more money than this on a regular basis.

My sister bought it just as soon someone sold it to the store owner. And yet she still works like magic.
It's almost 15 years old, but guess what? There are good titles on the 64, just expect good gameplay. No high def, no online gameplay, more... uh... less polygonic.
But hey, I grew up with the 64, and I still love it. =)

You'll always be able to get an N64. They seem to be pretty stable for their age still, so I wouldn't worry about having trouble finding a working one in a few years time from now. Besides, people still sell thier old Intelevisions and older systems like that, so those would probably disapear from the second hand market way before you'd have to worry about an N64 being rare to find. The games might get a little harder to find if you want any specific obscure ones, but that would be the only problem you'd have by then.

Finding game consoles (in mint conditions) has never been difficult really, and I don't see this changing anytime soon.

It's the games for them (the good ones) that usually get rarer and more expensive with time.

Why can't you get one until you're 18? You can legally work at 15 and you can mow lawns and wash cars as soon as your strong enough to push a lawn mower or carry a bucket of water.

You'll probably be able to find one, but I think it's best to get one sooner than later. It's already old. The longer you wait the higher the chance of going from being old and crappy to retro and vintage. The price difference between those states can be tremendous.

You shouldn't have a problem finding them, and the popular N64 games. The only thing I think you might have an issue with is finding a controller thats in decent shape, but even now that can be a shot in the dark, since the control sticks broke down quickly after wear and tear (especially Super Mario 64). The fact that you can still find NES systems and NES games should tell you not to worry about finding N64 stuff in three years. And if all else fails you can buy a Wii and play the big N64 titles on VC.

They MAY get rarer and rise slightly in price but no I think most consoles have theyre prices and N64 will most likely stay the same. Average on AUS ebay is about $30-50 but you may may aswell go for console and game packs which are only $10-20 more. I have an ice blue and a normal n64 with most of the major n64 games except conker which is VERY hard to find or about $100 on ebay phew!

Other people have asked this, but why can't you get one until you're 18?

Also, I don't imagine it will be hard to get one in 3 years.

Hey to answer your questions, i live in the uk, so legal age of work is 16, also we don't have any 'retro' shops or anything of the sort really, ( there might be one or two but iv never seen any) the reason i said when im 18 is because i'd probably have to order online or something, and my parents refuse to buy one of the internet, and you have to be 18 to buy off the internet, you get the idea.... :)

Just go buy one of those temporary credit cards (the ones that are essentially gift cards but that work anywhere that takes a credit card), put the money on there, and use it online to buy what you want. I don't think you need to be 18 to get one of those.

Yeah, I got one as a gift for cub scouts for selling popcorn way back in the day.
