If I play a game for more than two hours at a time if begin to feel a crushing guilt that I should be doing something productive. Thing is that doesn't always stop me lol. Worst time was when me and a pal played Final Fantasy 4 from beginning to finish in one setting (though we were under the influence at the time ;) The crushing guilt thing works most of the time though, that's the reason it takes me forever to finish a game, it's really annoying. The only game that's immune to this is rock band 1/2 when I play drums cus it's a heck of a workout on expert ^^
Yeah... I need to get out more and spend time with real people. Escapism is fun... but I am always so alone when playing games... I need to find someone to play them with me.
I don't think I play games too much but my husband would say that I do. I really don't play too much during the week since I leave my house at 6:30 am and then come home at around 6:45 pm. By the time I get home I eat dinner with my family maybe watch a few shows and then play if I'm not too tired. The weekend is when I play the most.
With homework and theatre, I don't get much time to play games. When I do have the time, I tend to get pulled away from it all by friends. And that is why I love coming back home for holidays like this. I'm given time to play my games, and when I do hang out with friends from back home I'm able to continue playing games because we are such big gamers. Friends at school, not so much.Â
Who cares how much you play as long as you lead a productive life. Yes, balance is important, be social, be active but I'll never feel guilty for spending my free time playing video games. Its the best form of entertainment out there.
Back in the day, 2 years ago, the WoW days, i have played 16 hours a day before. 6 hours every day was normal, hardcore raiding. But then.. IT WAS WORTH IT!!! :P. i was L33T!!
I really only get to put any time into a game on my day off so not really. I may get to play 2 hrs on a normal day, though my day off ill play for like 10.
I think I spend too much time in general on pointless entertainment. Books, Movies, mindless internet wandering, and of course, my favorite, video games.
i don't get as much time as i would want to - usually 30 mins after work - but on weekends i may do three times that but with different styles of games. still i don't give up other things that i am doing to stay at home and just play games! although i did take a sick day from work to finish dead space last week but it was genuine, i was so sick of that spaceship!... :)
