I wondering if people on this site find Twitch useful. Whether you use it to stream games, or to watch others play. I use Twitch mainly because of it's community, I love taking part in chats. I don't stream. I also like to watch games that get a lot of hype to see if it's something I could buy in the future.

What about you? Do you use Twitch? and if yes, what for?

I used to mainly for watching Gamespot's twitch streams. However, I have long moved to other more interesting content creators and channels that stream on youtube so I don't really visit Twitch at all these days.

I've never watched Twitch. I've watched one live-stream on it from a developer. I rarely watch gamer-videos. On occasion if I want to get som hints in a game I might search out a youtube-video. But I don't understand the appeal of watching other play games and hear their narration throughout.

Yeah I watch Twitch pretty regularly. I don’t stream myself but there are a couple of people I like to watch regularly.

I pretty much just watch one person i'm interessted in. He does some really cool FF7 runs with different mods or challenges. It's always fun to see what strategies he comes up with ... or rather we since the chat is always suggestion what we could try to do next.

Nah don't really like the live format. I like being able to watch the videos I want, when I want. It's just a shame that youtube has gone so limp wristed when it comes to gaming because a lot of my favourite youtubers are heading towards the more profitable twitch streaming.

Got no use for watching other people playing games. That's time I could be playing games myself.

When H1Z1 came out, I was all about Twitch for Battle Royale mode as my PC couldn’t play it. I found a few streamers I’d enjoy play the game. Strangely, I could do this for hours.

Now I play PUBG on my X1X and I enjoy it thoroughly. I haven’t watched a Twitch streamer since.

I’m not anti Twitch as I sometimes I come back for new releases where a review can be biased or influenced.

But do I actively watch Twitch? No. The begging streamers do, their unreadable chat, and their ‘sub/donation’ spam is just ridiculous and stupid to watch.

Yep, fairly regularly, for the Doc and Overwatch League.

I don't have this thing about buying a game the second it comes out, so I also find it useful to glimpse uncut gameplay of things I might be interested in. So like recently when they had Shroud, Annemunition and a couple other people I never heard of playing Overkill's the Walking Dead together...more useful than a review.

Would rather play games myself than watch someone else play them for me, so no not really. I have a twitch account but don't really use it. My friend streams regularly and I'm often playing with him so I am being streamed, but not streaming myself if that makes sense.
