Does anybody know how to get games early from gamestop

so this sunday im going to attempt to get watch dogs from gamestop. I have no connections with anybody there, but i shop there quite frequently. I have the game already pre-ordered there and i heard that can sometimes help. i know gamestop is a prestigious store and all but does anybody have any pursuasive tactics i can use to try to get the game 2 days early. Would really help.

I really want to get it sunday because monday im off school for memorial day and i can get a lot of time into it that day. If i can get enough usefull tips and they actually work i'll upload videos on youtube of leaked gameplay for you guys for the help

Your best bet is to make a friend there who doesn't mind being immediately fired upon selling you a copy.

well im hoping that if/when i go there that the manager will be the person at the counter because no one will fire him/her so him/her will be most likely to give it to me if they know there is 0 consequences

Even if the manager was at the counter, he/she wouldn't just give it to you early. They have rules and regulations about that stuff and the manager would be a big heap of trouble from corporate and possibly even sued if he/she did that (because of embargoes).

Not saying you couldn't try it, but you will probably not get the results you want.

The only way I know of to get games early is through craigslist, and you have to be super cautious there because half the people will probably try to rip you off and the other half will make you pay 4 times more to get your hands on the game.

You can take your chances there, but my advice would be to pick up the game the same day everyone else is picking it. It's just too risky to do the alternatives.

Gamestop managers are just as whipped as random clerks. We're talking about a company that fires people who get less than 10s in online surveys. A 9 is considered failure.

It's not the branch managers making that policy, it's the head office.

But seriously, I'm not sure what you're expecting from this thread. Nobody can tell you if your local Gamespot manager will give you a game early because we haven't met him/her. Honestly, if you really want to jump a release date, you're better off avoiding a Gamespot altogether. Mom and pop shops are far more likely to hook you up if you know someone. You can also try big, non-gaming chains like Walmart. Sometimes they jump release dates because the sales people don't know any better.
