I honestly can't remember having written anything in a manual since I scrawled out my dad and I's high scores on Jungle Hunt for the Atari 2600. Is there any reason to still have these blank pages in the manual in this generation of gamefaqs and password free auto saves?

I use to back in the days. Writing in the manual was the best way to keep track of all of your codes. It's a shame because now days I don't even open up the manuals.

I use to do that too. Whenever we would go to the mall and my parents would buy me a new game I would be so excited that I couldn't wait until I got home to open it up. I open up the game in the back seat and read the manual until I got home. Those were the good ol' days.

no doubt, i always used to do that. i need to start making the wife drive home after i buy a game now. only problem is i tend to get motion sick when i read in the car now.

I never do... I don't want to ruin my beautiful manuals (that i almost never use) with my chicken-scratch handwriting.

Nah. I didn't use to do it and I'm still not writing anything on these pages. Anyway, I read manuals - sometimes one can find interesting information over there.

I sometimes right passcodes(for stuff like locked doors, not levels) in so i dont have to look for them again in second playthroughts if i just want some fun,or easter egg locations I discovered,or if i make a character using custom stats that I use,ill right them down so if my memory cards ever corrupt(Cube is a bugger for it)I can remake the same character quickly and easily.
