For some reasonevery timeI buy a game, I get really bored of them fast... Multiplayer focused games like halo Reach and Bad Comany 2, beat the single player and only stuck with the multiplayer for about a week or so..

single player games are really the same way.. I play them for about a week and find a game that I really want to play cause I missed it when it was released and don't seem interested in playing any other game until I buy that game.. then i just move on.. The only game thats really stood out latley was the force unleashed.. the story was compelling and I played that game to the end.. but I cant seem to get into games enough to actually beat them.. Hell, Ive had assassins creed 2 since January or so and Im not even half way through it even though I can say that I am really enjoying the game.. anyone else have this problem?

I only have the problem if I don't upkeep my plays. If I let it rest for a week or so, all the initial interest has dwindled and I find it really hard to pick back up.

I think i know how you feel.

Im having great trouble enjoying games now days.

I'll buy any game that looks interesting, play it for about 1 hour and then throw it away in disapointment!

Can't say what's wrong with me, but it's getting really old. (and expensive)

I also know how you feel. I was recently looking for a good RPG to pick up and let myself get lost in. So I played around in Gothic 3 and Oblivion, got bored of both real quick. Then I picked up Mass Effect 2 because I finished the first one and realized I was looking for something more linear with a story that I can stick to and already invested time into. I guess it just matters what mood your in. Orjust take a break from gaming for a bit.

It happens to me all the time. There are so many games I haven't even finished yet.

It happens to me from time to time. Not too often, thankfully. My case is more around the lines of when I find a new game to play, I get into that one game. Then any other games I was playing at the time get left in the wayside. I really need to finish a game first before moving on to the next...

I wouldn't say I get bored really, just new games come out all the time constantly demanding that I play them, I have to spread my attention thin just to have at all of them, though I usually knock games out one at a time, just don't give them a single playthrough and that's it, I go back for achievement and whatnot, gives it great replay value I'll play one game again and again and again until I can't take any more of it, then I'm on to the next great thing, multiplayer games though like Reach or BFBC2 keep me coming back frequently enough though anyhow, it's a bad idea to play multiple games on their first playthrough, I don't do this, I'll ignore one and favor another and have no desire to continue the other halfway and unfamiliar with the game, I play everything from beginning to end, like reading a book

I think I only get bored of a game after I have completed it or have been playing the same game for hours. Though as I've gotten older I can't play games as long as I used to. At least there's plenty of games to play thisseason.

I am experiencing that feeling in MMOs lately. Playing World of War is becoming very boring, regardless ofCata coming down the pike or not. Console games, on the other hand, I dont play too often. So when I do purchase a game, I tend to play it thru rather quickly.

I think, generally speaking of course, the older we get, the more things we have going on in our life, the less time we have to play games. But being bored by them is something that needs to be looked at on a case by case basis. For your particular situation, it sounds like your attention is diverted quickly. Perhaps concentrating a bit more might help you focus and still retain interest in your game of choice.

It would be a sad day indeed if you were to lose all interest in gaming, in my opinion. Personally, I hope I never reach that day...

You're going to get more choosey, that's a given. I think there's a point in our time spent with video games where every game gives off hours and hours of entertainment and you're just happy to sit with a controller/at the computer. Now, you're probably like myself... the game has to be exceptional before any enjoyment kicks in.

I rarely play games on my own these days (aside from Bioware RPGs, but I'll never get tired of them) so what I get out of my games is hanging with my buddies online. It's pretty much the only times I get to see them during the school year, living in different cities.

I can defiantly say that I'm choosy when it comes to games, or games that I want to play. I was playing Dragon Age yesterday and was liking it but after playing it for a while I realized that I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay. So I stopped playing that and looked to see what rpgs i have that have a more action-rpg type game but didn't want to play oblivion, torchlight, or diablo 2 cause they weren't the games I was looking for.. More like a game like neverwinter nights 2 i think.. So I ended up just giving up cause I had to work, and was listening to some podcasts where they were talking about bioshock and assassins creed 2.. That made me be in the mood to play those since i haven't played through either of those yet. BUT, coming home to the castlevania demo and playing that makes me really want to get that game... gahh.. I think I realize my problem.. I have ADD when it comes to games.. lol.

no, i think all games should do a game + when you beat it, play through it with all your abilites but make the enemies harder and also trophies.

What you need to do is start playing against better players and decide that you're going to be as good as them if you keep gaming and learning. The idea is not to pwn te n00best players online, it is to get better and beat the better players.

Yeah I sample a lot of games by renting them, and I've found that there's just a lot of stuff out there I don't much care for. The older I get, the pickier I become about what games I spend my time on.

The majority of games that I play I find myself going through the single player storyline about twice then never touch it again. I'm entertained the first time playing through it then play through it again to fix mistakes I made the 1st time. After that it's no longer of interest to me. This is how 90% of the games that I play are. Hit it and quit it.

Perhaps some part of you is trying to tell you this is not the hobby for you and you should look elsewhere for your entertainment.

The most and only real fun I had in this game was the first 10 levels. I think that was well done, after that, it's like they just phoned everything in. free xbox live codes.
