Hey people, I was just wondering whether anyone remembers Nightmare Creatures for the original Playstation? I remember playing it with my friend when we were like 7 and we found it really scary but everyone else I ask has never even heard of it so I was just wondering whether anyone here has played it. Thanks. :)

It was a decent game. I could never get past the third or fourth level.

I remember renting that game. I spent 10 minutes trying to decide who to play as at the beginning of the game (the male or the female)....primarily because it looked kinda funny how they're standing outside a gate leading into town, and when you'd toggle one or the other, that respective character would peak inside the gate and hear the roar of a monster. So it was like

"You go in!"

"No, YOU go in!"

"No, YOU!"

" YOU!!"

Ahh...memories.

Why yes I do. Although the game had many shortcomings I actually found it very enjoyable and my roommates at the time loved to play it as much as I did. After playing through it many times I remember using those codes to play as the various monsters in the game. There was the easy hulking brutes which pretty much nothing could hurt but then there was the odd challenge of playing that little bat creature. I really had a lot of fun with it but I remember not liking Nightmare Creatures 2 although my memory fails me at the moment as to why I didn't like it.

Yeah I had it at one time.

I actually had a good time playing it, even though I'm sure if I went back to it now I'd be like WTF is this? It had a good concept, and I also remember it having some hardcore Metal on the soundtrack. Kind of seemed like a sloppy Silent Hill.

Never played the sequel though.

Oh man, I forgot all about this game. I remember owning the original for the PC. The controls were horrible from what I remember, and I always died alot, but it was mildly entertaining during the few times I played it.

I used to rent this game for N64 when it first came out in the year 1998. While the game's controls were horrid, the creepy atmosphere and music more than makes up for it and that's what kept me going until the very end of the game. The final boss, Adam Crowley, was probably one of the most difficult bosses I've ever contend with. However, I attributed the difficulty to the game's clumsy controls rather than the boss itself. Like dvader654 said, a good concept, but very poorly executed.

I remember it, and I remember not really liking it. I had it for N64.
