Does anyone remember this many big games coming out at the same time?

I honestly dont remember a time when so many big titles all came out around the same time. Assassins Creed, Witcher, Orange Box, Mario, COD4, GoW, Crysis...the list goes on and on and on. And the thing is we wont find that any of these games will make us truly happy, but bits and pieces from each one of them will fit into the big picture.

Oh...look...my bank account is dwindling away!

Hard for me to really remember even though I'm sure there have been better years.

2008 = Possibly best year of gaming ever. Many games that were supposed to come out this year got pushed back to early 08.

God of War 3, Resistance 2, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, LittleBigPlanet, Final Fantasy XIII, GTA4, SSBB, Gran Turismo 5, etc.

So Many Games and Sony is absolutely dominating 2008 like crazy.

2004.

One week after another GTA:SA, Half Life 2, MGS3, Halo 2, WOW, and RE4 were all released.

Half Life
Metal Gear Solid
Grim Fandango
Baldur's Gate
Fallout 2
Resident Evil 2
Starsiege Tribes
Thief

....four of those are in Gamespot's "Greatest Games of All Time" list.

Not really...I´m playing for almost 20 years but all the games that camefrom September and (hpefully) come until March-April 2007 is the biggest wave I´ve ever seen.The last years didn´t have been THAT good,but what they say is true : After 2 years of a console-release (like the 360 right now) you get what you paid for :D

I never had so many problems choosing between the games and never been so blank...XD

1998 still best year i feel ever.Runner Ups: 1992, 1997, and 1999 (Least in America with Dreamcast and PSone and N64 peaking).

Remember, many come out, few succeed.

Personally I have to say that line-up is far better than this years - although I am really excited about the games still yet to come, I had no idea all of those games were released in the same period.

Next year does look to top that for me, personally. Games like the long-awaited Starcraft 2, GTAIV, Spore, RE5, etc all have me really looking forward to 2008.

knowing polyphony, gt5 is not coming out this year. they even managed to cancel gt mobile for psp. the gt game has physics damage they need to work on, and online which i think will delay them another year...i say 09
