The PS3's lack of backwards compatibility is one of the main reasons I haven't purchased it. There are so many great PS1 games that I just won't forget about and won't stop playing.
on't play PS1 games. Quite frankly my PS2 was the first system I owned (aparts from my Nintendo 64), so I generally tend to stray far away from the previous generations of gaming.
And, I am only 14 so I don't really have the money to upgrade to a brand new PlayStation 3 unlike a fair majority of people.
And my family is not that rich so, yeah...
So I just stick with the current and recent games of the PS2 and I don't take a step backwards by playing any ps1 games on my ps2.
Yeah of course. im 14 and im discovering the old RPG'S for the PS1 i recently bought chrono cross, xenogears, Star Ocean second story and saga frontier 2. Im currently playing Star ocean 2 and its great. Im trying to obtain all the rare games now. ive played many PS1 rpgs and i love them.
I am playing FFVII on my PS2 at the moment as well as Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. Both are great games and I don't get tired of playing them, in fact they beat most PS2 games.
i prefer playing PS1 games on my PS1 rather than my PS2Nintendo_D00d
I sold my PS1 about 6 years ago, I regret that since i've had trouble with a couple of PS1 games playing on the PS2, namely Legend of Dragoon and Wild Arms, they would often freeze in the most annoying places...
Goodness yes. I'm actually playing the ps1 release of Final Fantasy IV on my ps3 at the moment. One of the greatest thing about Sony consoles is that they play older titles.
Don't pay too much for that though. I think you should buy the sims 2 if you like that kind of game, but if you can find it for real cheap, go for it. It's pretty fun for a few days.
I started Silent Hill on my PS1 back in the day. I got to the amusement park, then my PS1 died. I never fixed it, and got a PC for online gaming. Then I picked up a PS2 a year ago and finished the game.
not really..but i really loved this one game..Vandal Hearts..i wanted to get Vandal Hearts 2 but didnt have the money n when i did it wasnt being sold anymore...:(
Metal Gear Solid, Rival Schools, and Die Hard Trilogy have me rocking out PSX games on my PS3! And just in case you're wondering, they look horribly blocky and rendered on a 42" 1080p TV, but the games are so good I just don't care!
