It looks good, Free Radical have proven they can make some pretty good Console-FPS games.....but I'm not expecting anything amazing.Â
What I find funny is this game was announced and shown way back in 2005 and the whole time it was virtually ignored.....but as soon as its announced as a time-exclusive for a specific platform, suddenly it gets all this attention and talk out of the blue.

I know exactly what you mean. When X-Play covered E3 2005 they talked about it for less than 10 seconds claiming it was just another shooter, now it's on the cover of PSM and all over the forums. I've and I like Free Radicalalways looked forward to it because the Timesplitters series is one of my favorite series

Ubisoft made a very smart decision when they decided to hold back the 360 version until after the Halo, Bioshock, etc. hooplah was out of the way. Now they have PS3 owners talking about what is going to be the best "exclusive" game on the console this year, and then they'll release it on the 360 when they have less competition in the genre and 360 owners are ready for the next good shooter. As of right now, it makes PS3 owners feel like they have their "Halo" for the year, and they'll hype and advertise this game more than all of Ubisoft's marketing combined.
In a way, it's almost a blessing for Ubisoft that the 360's library is so crowded with quality this year and that the PS3's is not. This gives them their chance in the spot light with this new franchise, and they took advantage of the situation. I fully expect every PS3 owner out there to grab a copy of Haze, while a good portion of 360 owners will likely gobble up the game early next year or whenever it releases for the 360, as they seem to so predictably do with any quality game released on the platform.

I think Haze will benefit from the Killzone effect, but as with Killzone, I would be incredibly shocked if it wound up being the best Playstation exclusive (Uncharted, Sigma, Ratchet and Clank and Heavenly Sword are hitting this year) or the bestselling Playstation exclusive.

Yeah, if Haze ends up being the best exclusive for the machine, I will be extremely shocked - and disappointed.
