SDTV or HDTV? PS1 games in general are going to look terrible on a high definition television.

One of the ugliest games I've ever played, I'm afraid.

I play it on a small 20'' analogue TV now. No more HDTV PS1 games for me X_X

The TV is called a NX8 LCD Digital Color TV, Bravia, 60 inch, Edge LED. Will it look ugly on this TV?

There fine, well at least for me my ps3 up scales. I recommend playing it on a Psp though it almost gets rid of all the jaggies.

OK, one more thing: Is there a way to connect a ps2 to a PC LCD monitor? I think it only has USB outlets.

I know that mine looks a lot worse. Every little jagged line shows up in full force on a HDTV.

I think this may be what you're looking for

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gadmei-TV-Video-Games-Monitor/dp/B000FKP8YS/ref=pd_cp_ce_1

I want to do the same thing - and this device looks interesting.

If you purchase it and it does work, please let me know :)

Make sure you're using component, otherwise garbage will show up that makes the picture look worse than it actually is.

It depends on how big the screen is though.

This in a nutshell. It's not just FF7, but most PS1 games haven't aged well. FF7 just so happens to be one of them.
