Rambi was by far the best, even though he didn't have his charge in the first game (or did he? Maybe I'm wrong). He could jump on every enemy, gore them with his horn, and crack open secret passages.
Enguarde was cool too, since he made the water levels a lot easier by giving you an actual attack, and saved you from the old-school clunky platforming tradition of paddling your way around underwater.
Squawks didn't have his egg barf ability in the first game, did he? He became infinitely more useful with that.
I hated Winky, since his jump was insane and he couldn't move particularly fast if you didn't jump everywhere.
But the most useless award has to go to Expresso, who did what, exactly? Run fast? Whoopee. No wonder he was put down for the second game. :P Winky, too.
BTW I just downloaded dkc2 on wii, what is the point of the yellow haired female ape? You can't attack with it? Does DK himself show up as a playable character?gaminggeek
You can spin-attack in much the same way as Diddy does his rolling attack, although having two small apes means that neither of them can take on the bigger enemies without barrels. Her biggest ability is being able to float around with her ponytail.

Yep, I always preferred donkey though...he could do it all without screwing around with having to avoid a lot of the eninmes .BTW I just downloaded dkc2 on wii, what is the point of the yellow haired female ape? You can't attack with it? Does DK himself show up as a playable character?gaminggeek
1) She can float, so you'll probably be using her for most of the game.Â
2) She can do spin-attacks, same as Diddy.
3) No.
Back on topic, it seems that I was the only one who voted for....Winky! :(
I can't remember staying on one of them long enough to have a favorite. Was there a timer on them or something? Or was I just that bad? Or am I losing my mind? I remember beating it fairly easy, but these donkey kong animals have me second guessing my existence!
