Don't you think it would be cool to have a console with early 80's games

Don't you think it would be cool if some company took all the old intellivision, colecovision and Atari games and put them into a console. You would also get the old comptrollers for each system. I am sure no one owns the rights to intelivision or colecovision any more so no one would have to pay royalties or anything.

I dont think any company feels like getting sued into teh ground, seeing how it would be illegal to sell somebody elses game, or in teh amazing event they DONT get sued into teh ground, i dont think any company would see any profit to be had buy it, at least not on NA.

some of these systems games have already been put on disk so you can play on pc xbox playstation. there is also the machines you can buy that hook up to the tv and have the games built in. the problem with all of thoes is they dont have all the best games and playing intelivision lives on console is hard becsuse you dont have the controler.

The best you can do right now is what you've mentioned. Collections that have been released already, or those controller-to-TV boxes, are your best options.

That being said, there aren't that many games from the early 80s I'd want to play. I've played some of these collections over the years, usually because I wanted one or two of the games, such as Bubble Bobble on Taito Collection, and most of these old games just don't hold up to modern scrutiny (though some do hold up admirably well, like Pac-Man).

I've got a few arcade classic collections for my PS2. Old favorites like Defender, Robotron, Tempest and Battlezone. Been meaning to buy another collection with Zaxxon in it, as that's another huge favorite.

But that's enough nostalgia for me :D

I'd rather just have them put on to a collection of discs. More of them would be nice...

Nah, not for me. I already played the hell out of them all in my youth. Time to move forward!

That's a bit too retro for my tastes. Anyway I think it's just better and easier to make collections of these games on discs or put them up as downloadables. I don't really want a bunch more devices that I have to hook up to my TV, it's crowded enough as it is.

Why not just release these games on a compilation disc?
