So, George Broussard (the founder of 3D Realms) has come out and said that we read into the rumours too much and the Duke has been kept alive to continue Nukeming (presumably for another 12 years!).

Having said that, the original dev team has been let go (which is going to land some people in trouble due to their releasing of game assets!) and there is a legal battle brewing with Take-2. It suppose then that it remains to be seen exactly what will happen.

Still it's the most I've thought about Duke Nukem in quite a few years and if they can get it out soon (lolz?!) then it'll probably sell off all the media hype!

Here's hoping the Duke will be dropping some bricks in a toilet near you soon.....

I had faith until last week. Now I have little to none. I really wouldn't be surprised if it's never released.

We may get another Duke Nukem game at some point, but I don't expect to ever see Duke Nukem Forever, or anything resembling it.

I can't help but feel, and say, that I have pretty much lost most of my interest with the game...

i think that 3dr should keep the duke nukem franchise, but that means that we many never see dnf. if it is made by another company other than 3dr it may be nothing like any other duke games, like far cry 2 to the far cry series.

I think they should just fire everyone in the entire company, fire up the cd burners and burn the game exactly how it was last built. Who cares about bugs, missing levels, missing graphics, compatibility issues, missing plot. Who cares. Just release the friggin' game. That way we can be like, "wow, what a piece of crap." Then we can move on with our lives and hope for something better from a different company.

Come to think of it, they should probably fire the entire company minus 1. They will need the one person to burn the cds and drive the game boxes to the stores... or they could just save the trouble and take them over to the nearest landfill.
