Come on. In the morning? I'm at school when the Big 3 are giving their conferences. I've missed all of the big news from Microsoft and I'll miss Nintendo's and, the most painful, Sony's. Seriously wacked up times. And on an unreleated note, Ubisoft is really pissing me off. No Ghost Recon 5 and 85% of their line-up are children's games? They've got a lot of work to do to re-earn some respect.

you have never skipped school, ever?

Well if you haven't then start tomorrow. it's awesome! Just pretend to be sick. It's very easy, just follow these tips:

  • dont wash your face in the morning,
  • Make sure to keep your hair messy
  • when someone comes to check up on you pretend you have a sore throat
  • pretend you're having trouble even opening your eyes
  • then pretend to get up saying you must go to school but then pretend to fall on your back as if you're really tired
  • keep it up till you've convinced everyone
  • In the words of George Costanza, "It's not a lie if you believe it."

Not all schools get out in May. Some start their academic year after labor day and those kids are stuck in school until mid-June. Then you have the poor SOBs who are unlucky enough to attend a year-long school, and finally there's the idiots who failed a class (or more) and have to go to summer school.

ill probably have work for the sony and nintendo conferences. its no big deal. the news wont disappear after the conferences end. just check and gaming news site and they will fill you in. gs and ign (and im sure many other sites) will literally list every single piece of remotely useful information.

or he could just tell his parents that there is an assembly in the afternoon and he's only watching a movie in his other morning class.

I got pretty lucky. I'm on study leave atm (means I get to stay at home and study for my A-level exams instead of going to school) so i have the chance to see all the E3 stuff without having to worry about school... even though for me the press conferences start after 17:00 so school wouldn't be a problem anyhow!

Well since E3 is an industry event and not a showcase for the average gamer it makes sense that its during business hours.

You should go to school. Sitting on your ass in front of the monitor listening to some dip$#!t talk about sales and the future of their company who obviously doesn't care about your education is a waste of time. Besides, you can always watch it when you get home and cut through all the monotonous crap.

Spirit_of_87

I have finals too! I'm not watching Sony's conference *sobs* but that was true.

I don't see what's wrong with them. The press conferences aren't set up for you to watch. They are for members or the industry and media to attend if they are in California. They need to set them up at the right time for those people to attend. Not you, me or just about any one else here.

If it makes you feel any better, Sony's press conference starts at 2am for me and will likely finish around 4am. Thank God I don't have to work tomorrow. I don't even know if I can make it anyway.

It doesn't even matter. Once you get back from school you can check out the stuff that matters to you and skip the casual game crap that we have to watch live.

Uh, no. We had one snow day, but we just made it up on a day that was originally planned as a day off anyways.

I really cant agree anymore, the time for E3 seriously sucks for people without G4 TV who cant watch it later, im at school taking exams while all these conferences blow the rest of the world to pieces and by the time I get home my subscription to G4 on youtube hasint even uploaded half of what E3 began to covor for the day, so far ive heard about project Natal off of youtube and seen an English trailer for FF13 and Assassin's Creed 2 but im sure im missing out on so much more :(
