Click here for website article. Finally! I hate EA. Those bastards screw us around every corner and get every dollar they can out of us. And it makes me so happy that they will probably have to pay A LOT MILLIONS to their investors. But what i don't understand is why EA is still publishing Battlefield. Why doesn't DICE publish their own game. They have enough popularity and Battlefield is as known as call of duty. But hey I'm not a dev there might be something i don't understand or I'm missing. But if you know please tell me why they publish their own game down below.

It takes a lot of money to publish your own game. Plus DICE doesn't own any of the trademarks or rights to royalties to the Battlefield series, EA does. So even if DICE did self-publish, it couldn't be called Battlefield.

I'm glad EA is being sued and I hope they lose a lot of money. You would think this would prevent them from pulling this shit in the future but it probably wont.

This.

Also the instant EA might think they could lose they will settle this out of court with an ironclad NDA.

You can sue a company over the quality of their product?

I don't get why people are happy about this. You think they are screwing you now? Think how bad they will screw you when they have millions of dollars to make up for. Knowing EA they will probably cut game development budgets and cut content and sell it as DLC. Yeah that's just great.

This +1. The idea that you can prove stock fraud in court because a game didn't turn out to be as good as the publisher wanted be seems like a pretty big stretch. News flash: Nearly every game that releases a crappy game thought that it would do better when they were making it.

BF4 might be buggy, but it's nowhere near the mess of something like WarZ. where the game was ludicrously unfinished and its Steam description contained many, quantifiably false statements about the features contained within the game.

If the case actaully goes through then if anything it won't bother EA at all, because they will mostly likely let Dice take the fall and the heat from this. Unfortunaly Dice after all this will no longer be a company anymore.

Old news, but yeah it's that bad. EA rushed DICE to make this freaking game. It's on them and them alone

Out of court settlement is likely.

@crazyman158: I have to disagree with you on Battlefield being more popular than Call of Duty. While I do prefer Battlefield, Call of Duty has far more popularity and hype.

Most likely nothing will happen. But unless your a shareholder it means nothing. The whole lawsuit it because ea execs dumped stock during the bf4 hype train.

Battlefield 4 is such a good game. Multiplayer gaming is brilliant as soon as you get onto a server that allows you to connect or crashes half way through a game. We have recorded great footage of BF4 on our YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLDyAExkQ6A).

This lawsuit should make EA realise they need to provide a better service for their users who purchased the game

I don't know why you would think this is a good thing. Like it or not EA develops and/or publishes most of the top video games year after year. They always have at least 3 of the top 10 selling games (ie. Madden, FIFA, Battlefield) and have been a part of some of the greatest games ever made (Dragon Age, Mass Effect, etc). If it weren't for EA the video game industry wouldn't be half as big as it is now.

Yeah. Didn't you know? Product doesn't work as advertised.
