EA's Madden 09 Freezing Xbox 360

If you want to get around the training screen freeze do this. Train only two players and you should have no trouble with it freezing.

After you get back to the weekly schedule select one more player and train him. This has completely solved the training screen

freeze for me, but sometimes the game will freeze during a game.

I've so far played 10+ franchise games, including multiple at a time, and I've never had it freeze.

Maybe my freeze-free Madden days are numbered, though.

BTW, I play on a 360.

Thank god I found some other people with this problem. I thought my XBOX was dying. It happens most frequently to me when I'm playing ranked games online. The damn thing has frozen on several games and it almost seems like it waits until I've clinched the big W to do so. What an irritating piece of poopy ca-ca. Boo to the freezes I say.

This is a problem that should have been solved in Beta testing (if not alpha). After two weeks of having games crash I'm fed up with EA. After dropping close to $100 on the "anniversary" edition I expect better. Arguments can be made whether the purchase was worth it year after year on gameplay issues but to buy a product that doesn't work.... EA just lost me as a customer. They can write off me purchasing the next Tiger Woods anytime soon, if at all depending on how fast they resolve this issue (like as in this week).

update: Complete crash... Madden crashes before I can even play a game now. tried clearing cache (both using the A button and through the memory blade. Any suggestions?)

Mine Does this like clock work. I get into fanch. mode fine, i can play the game fine, but every new week i go to train a my players, it gets to the last portion of the loading, and freezes. The music is gone, but the screen look frozen. ?? I haven't tried training two guys, then the other, at two different times, maybe i will. However, i have had it lock up on my during play in fran. mode too. Normally it freezes up right after a kick off, as i'm kicking it to the computer and i get them down, they get up and boom, locked up. or the other way around, the computer kick to me, they tackle me, and i get up and it then locks up. WTF??? EA.. I was almost ready to send my 360 away to get fixed and then i saw this web page, and thought, well all my other games work fine!!!!

Only heard this for this game on the 360 and i odnt have this game so i just learned this.

Its a shame Sony and MS's QA departments (not to mention those of many third party developers) are letting stuff like this through (perhaps with the reasoning problems can be patched later).

Any new news on fixes or remedies for the Madden 09' freeze? I have been having problems moving forward in the second season of my franchise mode. I have tried starting multiple new franchise modes and have not had any luck. I have been one of the madden series faithful but I have finally had enough with game. I always buy NCAA football because it comes out a month before madden and you can import the draft classes. The dynasty mode on this years NCAA really got my hopes up. I expected madden to have a similar online franchise mode. I was very let down. This years online season mode was worthless. I pushed 7 of my friends to pick up a copy the day it came out so we could have a league and we were all very unhappy with this years offering and most of them took a $30 dollar loss and traded it in almost immediately. At least my franchise mode in madden 08' didn't become unplayable due to freezing until halfway through the fourth season. HELP!!!

Very sad....It doesn't even help to know that I'm not alone. 2nd Season, try to train players.........FREEZE!!!!! Its kinda like when you have a hundred boxes in front of you, in which could be a wide range of goodies. In opening the first 99 boxes you come to find poop in each of the first 99 boxes :?. That's not gonna stop you from reachin in that last box just to see if there is something other that a pile of crap in it, is it? No Way Jose! You reach right on in and what do ya know, a handfull of CRAP! :cry:

This small analogy applys to my Madden 09 experience. No matter what I do, EVERYTIME I play, what do I do, I try to train my freakin players and I'm in freeze mode. Please help EA, $60 bucks for a terd? A polished up, sprinkely terd.:(
