They need to have character designs that are at least decent, Oblivion had atrocious character designs, and perhaps better lighting and shadowing which was still sorely lacking in Fallout 3, also they really should decide to stick with either the first-person or third-person perspective, the third-person perspective would require third-person action game controls.
Everything you listed would be welcome additions to the new game. I like the 2-3 hits and you're dead thing. Enemies are better fighters in they use dodge and evasive moves while blocking. You're expected to do the same to stay alive. They would just have to tune it so fights are fun, but not long drawn out and tedious.
-Fixed leveling -Much more variety in environments -Much more variety in enemies -Better "daily" A.I. -More varied dungeons -More immersionLethalhazard

plus horse combat, or at least if you've got enemies after you make it so you can jump off your horse ready to fight, instead of taking 15 minutes to stop & climb down, by which time, they've caught up and are hacking you to pieces before you can even draw your weapon. i ended up either parking my horse 4 miles away from every camp i found, or just running straight past them
Pipboy 3000. I am joking ofcourse but something that so handily tracks my quests and guides me in the right direction I would really apreciate. I felt lost in Oblivion and if I stopped playing for a week or two and came back I had absolutely no idea what to do.
id f this whole concept remake elder scrolls 2 but this time follow through and finish it.. b/c little to those unaware but it was supposed to be on a scale of epicness not yet seen before with advanced textures such as moving water wheels, massive dragons, and dark and slinky organizations beyond the dark brotherhood & thieves guild. to finish it and at least bring it to par with morrowind "technologically" NOW THAT would be the rpg to end all as seriously if you researched half the stuff they didnt do you would essentially see they tried to make a "my 1st medival mythological sim" as you could do anything.. i do mean most anything. climb ropes, pick up hookers, join the blades assassination arm (order of the lamp), politics, and ever changing characters. to finish it would make the perfect rpg.. as it would be mature, cultured, and rehashless with no bars on any door..
I want it to be more like the 2nd and 3rd game where they don't hold the players hand over the entire game play. Good story, more intresting and active combat (dodge, block, parry ,depending on how you "move" you will swing the weapon in another way.
I disagree strongly, if they throw away all the RPG elements of the Elder Scrolls V, I will be very sad. What you're asking for just sounds shallow, which is not something the series has been known for.

This. I loved Morrowind. Still love it. I hated Oblivion. It was too action-adventure and not an RPG anymore.
idk man i really like the fact that u had to do a little investigative work. i dont like games where they give u every direction to go. half the fun for me was figuring it out. but im just a different gamer i guess. some people just wanna get straight to the point.Pipboy 3000.
