So i was thinking it would be interesting if people would post the game they have spent the most time with or maybe the one they have enjoyed the most over the years. To start it off ill share a couple quick ones myself. Final Fantasy VII, I know allot of people feel this is the fan boys FF. I would both agree and disagree yes it was the FF title that evevryone seemed to play and it did get allot more exsposure than past titles yet it also had allot to do outside of the main game. I spent nearly 90 hours playing this game between getting all my characters lvl 99, untimate weapons, master summon, golden chocobo, ruby and emerald weapon. Wow it was just a really great game. Another more current favorite would have to be Fallout 3. Again there is just so much to do it seems. Get all the upgrader versions of weapons all the side quest (which there are allot of) . Just a very open ended game. Killing villages of innocent people or saving them its all in your hand. Well enough of my ramblings i hope people decide to share their experiences as it could spark someones interest to dust of the old consoles and do some classic gaming or give an overlooked game another chance.
I have been thinking of picking up Elder Scrolls since i am enjoying fallout so much. I know it is almost limitless as far as the amount of time you want to spend playing.
This actually isn't that great but it stuck out for me. I was playing GTA San Andreas and I was running along this rocky ridge evading the cops. A helicopter was flying towards me. I hit it with a RPG and as it's spinning out of control its tail scrapes the side of the ridge just below me, causing sparks to fly off the ridge before the exploding helicopter plunges to the ground.
The most epic moments this gen were either Oblivion or Fallout 3 it has to be...the times spent on those games were well worth the money...Oblivion being a fan of Elder Scrolls I loved it and Fallout 3 was just hilarious...when I saw the Atomic Explosion in the game I was impressed but what truly did it was Liberty Prime at the end...funniest thing I have seen in a game for a long time, you don't even have to do anything just walk with him while he shoots laser beams from his eyes, throws nukes from his back and curses chinese communists...brilliant.
One I've spent the most time with and enjoyed the most would be Diablo 2. Ever since that game, it's been my mission to try every hack n slash game for that D2 experience.
When I think of epic I think of FFX, Valkyria Chronicles, Fallout 3, Tales of Vesperia, Persona 4, Megaman 3, Pokemon... there are others, but they caused me to become immersed in the game. They are just incredible experiences and, well, epic.
Ahh yes I can never forget Dialo I and II I spent the most time on II it had to be bordeing 200 hours game play over the course of a few years. Wow that was a great game with info on III coming in im coming to terms with the fact it will again own my soul.
There are plenty of epic gaming experiences for me out there. One being the fight scene with Vamp and Raiden in MGS4. And the battle of the Metal Gears in MGS4. ACtually, everything about MGS4 was epic imo. Great game. God of War had awesome epic moments as well.
My most memorable experiences with games are: Twisted Metal PS1, Midnight Club Street Racing (first one) PS2, Manhunt PS2, RE4 Gamecube and PS2, Condemned: Criminal Origins 360, Bioshock 360 and PS3, and RE5 PS3. I will never forget the experiences I had with them games, never. The game that I've spent the most time on is Burnout Paradise, easily. I've got around 150 hours and I'm nowhere near done yet. The game I've beaten the most is RE4. Beat it 2-3 times on Gamecube and 3-4 times on PS2.
