The melee combat seems really clumsy, the stealth sections are a mess and dont really work and the graphics are nowhere near the best on the xbox.. What do you guys think?

I just beat Butcher Bay for the first time about a half hour ago lol (It was on PS3, but it's supposed to be the same experience). I agree that the combat is clunky, the gunfights aren't very precise, but it's not the main focus of the game. I loved the fantasy world, character interaction, exploration, and thought the stealth was good. I'm a big fan of the Riddick movies and really enjoyed the story of the game as well. I thought it was overall a solid gaming experience with nice variety. It did get a lot of hype at it's release because it was one of the first movie games that was actually ingenuitive and original. I never owned an XBOX so I didn't quite get into the hype, but as a fan of the movies and FPS's I really liked the game. Also, I just started Dark Athena, and I might be imagining things, but it seems like the shooting is more refined, I'm liking it so far.
I enjoyed the game myself but if that's your opinion then fair enough, I do agree with you about the combat though.
I'm not a big fan of FPS games but CoR was one that blew me away. I loved the stealth and melee combat.
I guess the game might not have been your cup of tea TC.
I felt the PS3/360 version needed some more improvements, but when the original first came out on Xbox, it was absolutley amazing.
I tried the demo on the PC and it lagged too much (on a Geforce 6800 GS card) so I deleted it and forgot about it.
One thing about Butcher Bay I truly loved were characters and inpecable voice acting, I have yet to see a better voice acting. Judge-Gabranth
"It ain't the fall that gets to you. It's the sudden stop at the bottom."
One of the best lines I've ever heard in a game. Twisted, but funny and awesome at the same time!
