How about posting the score for those not willing to spend 5 minutes watching a review?

8.6, though like I've said GT's strength is in telling you what the game offers in detail. Though from what I've seen its a very solid score.

I was really looking forward to BD, but when I finally got to play it, I realized I have nowhere nearly enough time or patience anymore to go through an RPG so leaned towards the conventional side of things. Download times are killing me, but from what I've seen from the trailer (3-4 minutes), combat seems a bit more dynamic in this title, and the art-sty1e is amazing. Production values seem to be sky-high. I had heard from this game before, but this is the first time I get to see it in motion. I like it a lot.

Heh. Thanks. After watching the whole review, I'm even more interested in this game. I am especially attracted to the combat system and how it tries to make battles less dull or boring.

Really well done review.

I have a feeling this is going to be the first next-gen JRPG I buy. Game looks frigging incredible, and I enjoyed the demo quite a bit. I really like the decision to not force grinding and how there's forty hours of game in there if you want it, but for those who aren't looking to be married to a game for the entire generation, it can be completed in half that time.

I also really like the concept of the game being a dream of a dying composer right before he passes. It's a little melodramatic, but it's definitely original.

I have the exact same feeling towards it being the first JRPG I get this gen. I just wish I could get my 360 posted soon enough to enjoy it. I hope I'll be able to find a cheap copy in a few months so I won't miss out on what looks like a really fun adventure. First time I think I've said that about a JRPG since Skies of Arcadia.

Damn there's something wrong with my audio player :( I'll edit this post once I figure it out anyways ever since I heard this was about chopin I felt upset about it heading to the 360 but now that I've got a chance to play it I'm so happy cause I play his music as well I'm so happy about this game though Chopin's life was sad.

Very good. I really enjoyed the demo I played awhile ago so unless something happened where the game was hammered on by all of the review sites I was already commited to picking this game up. Sounds like it has a pretty cool premise to it and I really like the artwork in the game.

My thoughts exactly. It's been a while since I've played a JRPG, mostly due to time constraints. However, this game has been drawing me in ever since I first heard about it, then my feelings towards it being further ignited by the great demo. I love these JRPGs with action combat, a la Grandia 2 :) Can't wait!

The heroine should have been named Kate instead!

This game is a must buy for me no doubt :)

Eh, that wouldn't have worked, given that pretty much all major characters and such in the game have names derived from musical terms.

The game looks great, and is going to be among the first ones I buy when I get a 360, which hopefully will be in the next few months.

Is Kate a musical term? I thought Kate is short for Kathrine :? The name Polka is nothing special... it's a folklore cheap dance! If not Kate Walse instead!

Are you referring to Kate Chopin...because she has nothing to do with Frederic Chopin at all. In fact, she wasn't even born while Frederic was alive, and isn't related to him in any noteworthy fashion.

The main point of the character's names were to simply be various musical terms, as the GT review points out.

The game seems to have great music, story and graphics, but thevoice acting, design choicesand gameplay keep it from scoring higher, ohh well I paid for it and plan on picking it up next week.

Wow. I was expecting this to pull a Blue Dragon and bomb big time. But ... im actually impressed, escited and interested for the first time in a long time in a JRPG. Looks like a sure fire buy for me, jrpgs you have burnt me out with your tired cliched characters and gameplay so I 100% support innovation.

For anyone interested, Namco Bandai has also confirmed this game for the PS3; it'll be on display at TGS next week.

I already picked up Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, but that's not a next-gen JRPG...perhaps Eternal Sonata will fit the bill for me, too.

This game is amazing. Way better then that annoying Blue Dragon. I rented it then bought it 2 hours later and I am currently 12 hours in and am so addicted to it. The characters and story are great!
