I pre-ordered two games, Monster Hunter 3 Tri and Red Dead. They totally screwed up my MH3 pre-order and when I went in for a refund they talked me into pre-ordering Red Dead instead of refunding.

Well another store is having an excellent sale for Red Dead and PnT won't let me cancel now! Their return policy is exchange only, no refunds! I unfortunately paid for the game in full, because that is what I usually do and it never caused me any harm ... I'm wishing I just put the $5 minimum down.

It took them nearly a month to get MH3 in stock and now I'm afraid they will drop the ball with Red Dead like they did with MH3.

Has anyone else had bad experiences with them? GameStop has pissed me off as of late so I have tried to avoid them when I can. PnT just opened up in my town and they're already screwing up any sort of customer relationship attempt with myself.

I'm fairly certain that if you place a pre-order on a game and go in to pick it up within the time they hold it (1-3 weeks or so) and it's not there then they have to get it from another store ASAP or find some compensation.

In concerns with not being able to cancel your pre-order for Red Dead they arn't allowed to refuse seeing how the game isn't released yet nor do you have it in your possesion.

State of Florida does not require they give refunds. And this is considered a deposit, which is not regulated by the state. I've done research to see if I had any recourse and I have none. At this point the only guaranteed way to get my money back is if I were a minor. If they don't get it in first day then maybe I will be able to get my money back, which is what was sorta hinted at when they screwed up my MH3 pre-order (they didn't receive it the first day ... actually for an entire month).

I've never preordered from Play N Trade-- I've only gone in and bought games from them.

I only pre-order games at Gamestop, Play-N-Trade, I just can't rely on them personally.

Play N trade sucks. My friend was in one and was playing games, and the dude that worked there was like "buy something or get out" or something like that.

I don't trust them any more either, after my last two experiences with them.

the one thing about PnT is they are franchises not corporate like gamestop ... so if you don't like one go to one that is owned by a different guy. I personally love the PnT that I live by. Best customer service I have ever had ... and I used to run a Game Crazy.
