I got this on PC and just tried a race in rainy weather, i have to say the graphics and sounds are immense. Running it at 1920x1080p, max graphics with vsync and full anti-aliasing on a 47 inch with logitech g25. If you are thinking about buying this game i recommend a steering wheel as it is a bit tricky to use with a controller. Overall I give this game 8.5/10

What are your thoughts/ratings?

Just had my first session on PS3. Wow, just wow. It's amazing.

A racing game has never pumped me up so much! Looks amazing, sounds amazing, plays amazing.

Quite pleased with my first race result, qualified 21st in a Lotus then battled up to 10th.

The best part? Sticking one up the inside of Schumacher on the final corner for it!

Your PC is a freakin monster lol. Yeah I'm liking the game so far but I know I'm missing out on a lot without a wheel. Further down the line the stronger cars are gonna be near impossible to steer right without losing some speed.

Is there a demo? I am very interested in the game, but I don't know that much about it. I've heard that during the first seasons, you really have to struggle because you're in a crappy team with a not-so-good car and you sort of rise through the ranks as time goes on. I'm loving that.

I have some questions - can you drive the races in real-world conditions with 35 or so laps, team tactics, proper rules (penalty for not letting a driver that's in front of you for a full lap pass you by) and fully realistic pitting?

Thanks, one thing really annoyed me though i just did a 12 lap race, came first but got disqualified because I didnt stick to the 'dry tyre rule' the thing is it was raining halfway through the race and I had to change to wet tires, its impossible to drive on a wet track with prime tires. what should I do about this?

That shouldnt happen. If you use a wet trye then you only have to use one of the dry tyres... Actually come to think about it, Im sure you have to use the Prime tyre nomatter what. So if you started on the option then yeh, the game is correct. I dunno? lol.

And I also got the game today, im using a steering wheel on my pc and dammmmnnnn its hard lol. I put all the settings on max, difficulty up, no aids on. I think it might be a mistake lol.

For the first 30 minutes I found myself spinning out everytime I touched the accelerator. Slowly but surely I'm getting used to it and it feel so rewarding when I do something good. I'm in the Lotus and I managed to qualify 23rd (lol). I did this with my final possible flying lap, and the feeling of actually gaining a position was amazing. I seriously cant wait until I'm alot better and getting some faster laps in!

Wooooooooooo.

I'm not sure. I haven't run into that yet. (Haven't played too much because I should be doin homework... :D)

There is a pit glitch I'm reading about though i smaller races when you go to the pits they make you stay and wait for all the other guys to pass you by...

I hope this isn't another glitch...

I had a session with it last night, and so far I really like it! Compared to F1 CE, it has a much better feel to the controls & the way the car performs on screen. And it's alot harder to get a good lap time, which is good & realistic.

So I should start the race with prime tires, and then change them when needed? Your using no aids at all?! I have to keep abs on otherwise my tires lock up, everything else is off though, word of advice - 1) never throttle on first gear just let it roll around the tight bends 2) use sequentual manual it really helps on the turns as you can gear brake

Yep, accelerating out of the corner is when all the spins happen for me. Its definately a learning curve and its gonna take a bt of practice, but like I said it really is so rewarding to do something good and not crash lol.

The most annoying thing is the corner cutting penalties... It's so hard not to cut corners for a whole lap. Especially tracks like Melbourne.

I bought F1 2010 for PS3 on Friday and was quite disappointed to see that the cars handled unrealistically, there was a trophy for online mode which will inevitably lead to dirty driving. But I have only played the game for not long and will still find yet more disappointments. I was also bitterly disappointed by the fact that the game only let the wheel turn 180 degrees lock to lock which is quite unrealistic. I was highly anticipating the game but have been let down. Formula One Championship Edition was released in 2006/2007 and this game doesn't even come close to it. The only positive from this game is that it is a major step up from F1 2010. As it was made by Code Masters, the paddock feels similar to DiRT 2's environment. Will let you know more what I think of this game as I play it more. It's also hard to moderate your throttle use around corners because it's either on or off (R1 for me). This results in me having to tap it in bursts rapidly. I have to drive with the aids on because of this. I will have to win one race with them off though for a trophy.

The rules say: "Unless he has used intermediate or wet-weather tyres during the race, each driver must use at least one set of each specification of dry-weather tyres during the race." It seems like the AI drivers times are FAKE: http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316/430237-phoney-fake-ai-practice-qualifying-times.html I noticed this as a problem in F1 2009 on PSP where Massa wouldn't set a time for the whole of Q1 (his time was 00:00:00) and when the time has run out, you press end session and suddenly, he's through to Q2! And as someone above me said before, there really is a pit stop bug: http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316/428943-pit-stop-issue.html And here's a list of all the reported bugs: http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316/429298-unofficial-f1-2010-bugs-errors-list.html Some of the bugs are unbelievable. I am right now, furious.

Wasn't impressed , probably just delete it from my PC the handling is terrible for a sim.Graphics are ok but the tires look fake when you peel out and the audio effects are weak .Hate all the penalties ,reminds me of Dirt 2 allot except without the fun, glad i didn't buy it myself .Still waiting for Gran Turismo ...

If Gran Turismo 5 turns out like this (which it wont, right?) then I'm pretty sure all racing fans, me included, would kill themselves.

Thanks for that, didn't work though, I had to use one set of prime, then option, and then halfway through the race use wet tyres! all in just a 11 lap race =/ I still managed to come 3rd afer pitting 3 times, all the other drivers only pitted twice =/ really annoying if you ask me

Your PC is a freakin monster lol. Yeah I'm liking the game so far but I know I'm missing out on a lot without a wheel. Further down the line the stronger cars are gonna be near impossible to steer right without losing some speed.

His gpu is a 260, and he has a dual core. How is that a monster? Powerfull yes, but not a monster compared to todays hardware.

It was a dual-core but i unlocked it to 4 cores and its running at 3.9ghz so i consider it a monster, plus my 260 is overclocked like crazy it beats overclocked 275's in some game benchmarks ;)
