The green trees Three Dog's always talking about is the Oasis I guess. I found that while wandering around though and it's on the very top of the map. You should check this useful map to find it http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_map. Another unusual place is Vault 106 where weird things happen. Hallucinations and crazy guys who want to kill you. Oh wait, the last part it's not that unusual.
