Personally i believe Fallout 4 will have the better open world experience, since Bethesda is known for this sort of thing. But then again, that might be biased considering I've played three other Metal Gear games, but truly despised everything about them. What's everyone else's opinion? And yes, i know the games haven't come out yet, so it's not logical to come to a real conclusion. But i'm curious to see what people think, so throw all that logic out the door.

Why not include MadMax into this conversation as well? It's not getting much attention because it's launching the same time MGS 5 is.

What did you dislike about the previous 3 games?

@dwispa: Mad Max does look interesting, but I haven't really delved that deep into what the game is about, so i should probably do that. And I played, 1. 2, and Peace Walker. I really couldn't get myself to enjoying the game play, or the narrative. While i could understand the narrative, i can't stand how many plot holes are spread throughout the series.

Isn't it a bit too soon? Just wait till Fallout 4 is out. Also, both games probably approach 'open world' completely differently. And both games represent different genres.

@loafofgame: That's why i said "throw that logic out the door" This is only for opinions of people who like to think ahead of time.

I was thinking about this very topic just a moment ago.

Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions too early but after trying mgs ground zeros for a bit, I struggled to get into it. There's just so many damn combat options!!!

But fallout 4, ah, getting into that will be like driving a hot knife through warm butter lol.

Fair enough.

I've played both fallout 3 and skyrim, didn't enjoy either. I know the world is massive in both fallout and skyrim however I can't help but feel such scale is wasted on pointless exploration. Bethesda seems to be hopeless at making likeable characters. When you have a wasteland which has brain dead characters it's a bit depressing don't you think?

Fallout 4 is not in the same league as The Witcher 3 or MGS5 I honestly do not understand what people see in Bethesda games...

Both games will be amazing but I'm expecting Fallout 4 to be more 'open' of an open world game due to the type of games they are and from experiences with previous games.
