As the article author asks, really, guys?

I agree that this behavior was very unnescessary. The serious competition between rivaling consoles is funny to watch but at the same time depressing to think that we have the capabilities to play awesome games on multiple platforms and all people want to do is whine and complain because their console lost its exclusiveness.
I am thankful for being able to play any games let alone have the indecency to whine over whether or not my system is the greatest.
off topic: I love your toyota commercial in your sig :P
I can't say I was happy when the game was announced on two consoles instead of one, but that's before I got the bigger picture. Ultimately, Square has every right to release the game on both consoles, since when you make a game that takes five years to simply build up, you'll want as much revenue as possible. The only reason I was a bit disappointed by the announcement is because I bought a PS3 for the game. I'm not disappointed anymore, of course, so why in the world are these people angry that 360 owners get to join in on the fun? Honestly, the world confuses me sometimes.
thats very immature, its a game on a console, not the sum of all evil or something.
I would have made an effort to win the game even if I dont own a 360 , I could have sold it, clearly they didnt have any business sense :P
You guys are calling them pathetic? Damn! I had seven 360s break on me, SEVEN!
I wouldn't accept a **** console like that either, I have a PC, and two PS3s, and have never had problems with them.

So if you won a new 360 you would say no..lol that makes no sense. Even if you don't like the system you could sell it or give it away as a gift or even donate it.
If I ever got so serious about game system rivalries that it affected my decisions in this way I give all of you permission to come to my home and shoot me...I am already dead inside.
I think It's hilarious. And was that Alex Zane ?

Is it fair to say that hardcore FF fanboys are one of the worst? Seeing this I think so. ASK_Story
Nah, from my experiences, DBZ fanboys are worse. But these guys are close.
I'll admit, Final Fantasy was one of the reasons I chose PS3 over 360. So there was mild disapointment when it was announced on 360 as well. Devil May Cry was another, and they did the same thing. But I've found other PS3 exclusives that have justified my decision to choose PS3 over 360, so I got over it pretty quickly.

I think xbox fanboys are worse, they claim that its better then the ps3, yeah how? And what difference does it make. It's not like they'recomparing the NES to the Ps3. Now thats a difference.
Anyways i would have sold those things off, make a profit off of them. And i don't care if FFXIII is on 6 diff systems, they just did it cuz this was a massive game& they could make more sales. More sales = more FF for us.
How embarrassing.
I'm a huge FF fan, but I don't give a rat's ass what system a FF gets released on. Well, I probably would if a FF I wanted got released on a system I don't own, but I wouldn't go booing people off the stage for it.
I assume they all own PS3s, so they should be able to get the game, and therefore they shouldn't care. If anything FF being on the 360 will allow other people to get into the series they like so much, so they should be kinda happy.

If you have had 7 360s then I really think you probably should have stopped at the second one. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting the same results is not usually a good life choice. Secondly, I have a launch 360 that works fine and an Elite that i have never had an issue with. When people say they have been through that many 360s then I start to believe that it is some fault of the person using the system.
In my group of friends we have had very few of our 360s get rrod and that includes 4 or 5 launch 360s. So feeling like that when you seem to spend massive amounts of money on equipment that "doesn't work" seems to be ignorant to begin with and then going so far as to bad mouthing a gift or prize is very close to trolling and I am beginning to doubt that you have had 7 360s or would honestly refuse a gift that was given publicly to you.
The 360 version is crap compared to the PS3 version. If I were a fan of the series I wouldn't be happy with the 360 version.
Well in all fairness the 360 version was seen as a problem to many FF fans not only because it was a console that wasn't named "PS3". People were wondering if the development would take longer or if any shortcuts would be made. I understand that the PS3 version doesn't have Japanese voice acting was because the 360 couldn't have it which is a silly reason. Apparently the graphics on the 360 aren't as good as the PS3 version (cutscenes more precisely) . Basically the PS3 version is seen as the real deal and the 360 is there if you don't have a PS3. Just a different perspective to think about.Nifty_Shark
Souce on this? I find it hard to believe that this was ever being considered when you look back at every other FF ever made and see that in no game was there ever the option of listening to Japanese voice acting or reading Japanese text (unless you got the international version but those versions are only released in Japan, so obviously they're going to have the option of Japanese voice acting).

well I can't find it anymore but it was released sometime in the later half of last year. Square Enix did eventually defend itself claiming that gamers were not interested in having the Japanese option. LINK

You just jinxed you self. Now its going to break anyday now.
But serriously you were just lucky. The 360 had like an 75% failure rate.

The failure rate was about 50%, and it's gone down slightly with the newer models. I don't know how much, though. I'm a Sony guy myself, but it isn't right to say that everyone that buys a 360 is making a wrong decision :? They chose that console for a reason, and even though some of them break down, they offer something else instead which people value highly.

That's bad for you of course.
However, I'm pretty sure those booing idiots didn't have several xbox consoles breaking on them each. They just regard FF as something that in some way belongs to them and to their consoles only. Like that sig that some guy has says: treating your console as more than a machine you buy to entertain you is a sign of low self esteem.

I'm a PC gamer, but when I play on consoles the PS3 is definintly better. But I don't want to start an aguement about that sinces this isn't the place for it.
