Favorite character this gen?

Out of loads of new and interesting characters we've seen this gen, which one did you enjoy the most? Was he/she compelling, complex, just plain cool? Let's hear your opinions.

I'm going with Nico Bellic.

As boring as I found GTAIV after a while, Nico Bellic continually remained an interesting character. His story quickly pulls you in. His coming to America seeking a better life, until he's pulled back into a life of crime because it's the one thing he's good at. He's not perfect. He's a violent mass murderer, but he's also fiercly loyal to the people he cares about.

Kratos from God Of War 3. His ruthless destruction of everything that stood in his way was jumped off the screen and was felt in every close-up dismembering and brutal boss battle. A story about revenge and destruction you felt in your bones.

commander shepard, because i can make him an arse or an angel...

John Marston is probably my favorite so far although Kratos is definitley a very close second.

Garrus Vakarian

Spent years in law enforcement but got fed up with all the red tape that kept him from stopping dangerous criminals. Finally goes rogue and makes things happen.

Awesome choice, UT... I loved the characters from Mass Effect. Thane Krios also comes to mind. One of the most compelling cast of characters in videogame history. Period.

My top pick would have to be Andrew Ryan from Bioshock. His speeches in the game are convincing, almost inspiring. Makes you think if anyone could make utopia it's him. That is if you wern't trapped in the ruins of said utopia, that fell in no small part due to his own actions.

Commander Shepard of Mass Effect is another worthy mention. What kind of character he/she becomes is more based on personal preference, but all options are awesome and engaging.

Alan Wake is another that stands out for me. A complex character in a complex story that has you constantly questioning the kind of person he really is, and in turn makes you question what the entire game is really about.

My avatar, Tali'Zorah vas Normandy. She comes from a species, the quarians,who are looked upon as thieves by the other species. Tali, found the evidence on Saren attacking Eden Prime, thus helping Shepard gain Spectre status. She's also one of the best, if not the best, engineers of the quarians; hell, even in the whole galaxy. Tali is nice and her voice is simply, amazing. Only Tali (and Garrus) rejoin Shepard in ME2, proving their loyaty is unmatched.

I agree he is one of my top character this generation, as well as Tali.

It's a tie for me between John Marston (RDR) and Welkin (Valkyria Chronicles).

teh foce commanderl from dow2.. nothing is quite as stisfying to me as this guy..

ive thrown him into the strangest situations and had him come out on top, simply put he's the cousin of the energizer bunny ;P
