I've decided to go back and play the 3 Castlevania games for the Gameboy Advanced and I am having a blast with Aria of Sorrow!

So I was wondering, which one did you enjoy the most? I've yet to play the other two. My only complaint with Aria of Sorrow is how easy the bosses are.

I've not finished the game yet, but I have defeated six bosses and I defeated each one in less than a minute.

Aria of Sorrow was also my favorite. Since you enjoyed AoS, you should check out Dawn of Sorrow for the DS. It takes place right after the events of AoS.

Castlevania Circle of the Moon for the GBA might be my favorite Castlevania game of them all. The difficulty gets harder and harder as you progress, and the boss fights are no jokes (well maybe some are :P ). Trusty whip in hand along with the numerous, and I mean numerous magic attack combinations make combat so rewarding and fun, as well as exploration.

Overall it's a damn good game, even if it didn't have Castlevania in the title. Easily the best Castlevania title the past two gens IMO.

Aria of Sorrow is definitely the best of the GBA Castlevania games.

Cirlce of The Moon would be my second.

....Personally I didn't like Harmony of Dissonance...thats just me xD

I've only played Circle of the Moon. But I can honestly say I loved it. It was a fantastic and definetly paying homage to the greatest game in the Castlevania series: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (SOTN). The 2D sprites aren't as impressive as SOTN, but the gameplay elements (exporative world, upgradable character, stats, etc.) and the music are spot on. I recommend this one for any Castlevania fan.

I definetly plan on picking up Aria of Sorrow and Harmony of Dissonance. I just haven't run across them in my game-hunting as of yet.

Mine's Circle of the Moon because of the variety of gameplay options in the DSS system and the difficulty. After having played all of them several times though, CotM had the weakest exploration elements, particularly in the form of unique/worthwhile hidden items.

Aria of Sorrow is a close second. Harmony of Dissonance is a distant third. HoD was still a good game, but is more limited in its replayability than the other games, and is really easy.

There is a double pack were you get both games in one bundle together fairly cheap nowadays.

It seems like they tried to recreate the charm that SotN had with HoD, and it turned out so-so. That being said, it is still a VERY good game and I would recommend anyone who loves the Metroidvania style to play it.

If I had a DS I definitely would. I might end up buying a DS just for the Castlevania games, or at least those games are what makes me want a DS. I know, the DS has A LOT of really good games.

The one that has good imagination, plays like SOTN, actual uses the GBAs power, fixed collisions, and a big armor thing chasing you at the start of the game to a draw bridge.

Correct. To bad you failed to realize it was the best of the 3 objectively. Subjectively, I still think it's the best game of them all. Although I just currently replayed them so let my opinion sink in before my final subjective decision.

Ok, which means you have yet to realize it's the best. What did you think I said something else?

If you never got it and haven't actually tried to get it during all that time it means you "Failed" to "Realize" in other words it should have been your first priority after playing the game you already played in your first post. Which brings us to now, where your asking what the best GBA (well our favorite) GBA Castlevania is. Also, now that you mention it, you aren't really GOING BACK to play all 3 when you actually never played 2 of them. So that just adds confusion right there.

Hmmm....

Aria of Sorrow is better on technical stuff.

But Harmony of Dissonance is darker,so that.

Interesting to see people liking Harmony of Dissonance, I thought it was a great title but it wasn't as difficult as I would have liked it to have been, I pretty much roflstomped through the whole game. And the relic hunting had me so stumped, I had to use a walkthrough. *shame*

Juste was a cool character though, and some of the spell combos were pretty sick.

aria of sorrow, then circle of the moon, then harmony of dissonance. thats not to say any of them are bad, its like a 99,98,97 situation.
