If your answer is Mega Man 6, post it in this thread.

Mega Man 6 was awesome! A lot of ideas in it are ideas they used in Mega Man X. I think the fact that it was released so late in the NES's lifespan is why it didn't do as well as the others. Most gamers at the time were already looking ahead to Sega Genesis and SNES. -Nate-

I had 2 and 3 and 2 was the only one I completed. I believe I was frustrated by some of the final parts of 3 and never really bothered with it after that

MM2 was the first game in the series that I played, and has been my favorite ever since.

Mega Man 2. I actually like 9 the best but it isn't for the NES...

MegaMan 1.

It was the only one I had although I have completed 2 and 3, and am currently playing 4.

MegaMan 1 was brutally hard, but I had played it so many times that I did eventually beat it on the NES. It was an amazing game.

I honestly prefer Mega Man 3. I just got into it more than the second.

I know that most people would say it would be between 2 or 3, but I'm the one guy,so far at least, that voted for 4. It was the first fully developed mega man game before it went a little too crazy on nes(5&6) I honestly haven't played too many nes mega man games in a long time, mostly playing 9. It really bothers me that I don't slide or have a charge shot. Ijust find that this was the best blend of new and old.

Mega Man 1 and Mega 2. After that, Capcom started cluttering the games with unneeded and tedious extras. I did like Mega Man 6,though,which I would rank just below 1 and 2.

I picked Mega Man 1 because it's what I started on and it was a very tough game, but lots of fun. I love the rest of the series as well, so it was a hard choice.

Mega Man 3 was easily my favourite with 2 being a close second.

I like 2 the best even though 3 was superior in many ways. 2 was my first and 3 had a cheap ass last boss. Only beat 1 and 2. Wow that's alotta numbers.

There's the Mega Man Anniversary Collection released for PS2, XBox, and Gamecube. It includes all 8 console released games in the original Mega Man series. That includes the 6 mentioned here for the NES, #7 for the SNES, and #8 for the PS1. It even includes a couple games that were previously only released in Japan, fully tranlated to English. There's also a Mega Man X collection, but that wasn't released for XBox. No Japanese extras on this one, but who cares, this has Mega Man X 1-6. The first 3 were originally realeased on SNES, the latter 3 were released for PS1/Sega Saturn. -Nate-

There are also releasing (or...slowly) the NES Mega man's for the Wii's VC. But as far as I know, they only have Mega Man 1-3 out now.
