Favorite military themed war game

What's your favorite all time military themed war game? I'd probably go with GRAW for the Xbox 360. It had a belivable enough story to compell you to play, and was futuristic but modern at the same time. Finely tuned gameplay.

The only military themed games I've ever really enjoyed were the Advance Wars games, or old-school games like contra and more recently Heavy Weapon.

Does Battlefield: Bad Company count?

Ghost Recon and CoD have always been my go to military games.

Either CoD (original) or CoD:UO.

Advance Wars for me, but I was addicted to Day of Defeat for a while, when it got out. I'm sure I'd also love Battlefield 2, but my PC can't run it. Oh well.
