Favorite PSX Resident Evil?

Mine is 2 which I'm currently got(and playing) off the PS Store which is yours?

I pick Resident Evil 1, it was the only one I've actually finished. I really would like to play through the other ones sometime though.

I'm going with RE1 because it was the first of its kind that I had ever played. I was still fairly young and it scared me too. Now games don't scare me at all except for the occasional unexpected pop out of a monster so it is the only game that has ever struck me with fear.

RE 2, no doubt. It was bigger, and shinier than the first game, and it had a MUCH better story.Emerald_Warrior

Will definitely have to go with RE2 on this one. But RE3 was pretty good and featured the fun Mercenaries mini game.

I voted for 3. RE2 was pretty epic but I liked actually being able to go around the city finally and Nemesis chasing you all the time was intense. Also the "live choices" were pretty neat too.

I'm going to go with Resident Evil 3. I don't think anything was more memorable on the PSX RE games then Nemesis popping up out of nowhere and chasing me around leaving me to make split second decisions. He was easily the reason I was way too scared to finish the game but it was fun though. = )

All of the games have their strong points, to be sure. All in all, I think I'd have to give the nod to RE2. The first game was definitely revolutionary, but looking back now, some of the gameplay was actually kinda clunky. RE2 was just a smoother experience all around. Greater variety of enemies and environments as well. I enjoyed RE3 quite a bit at the time, but for some reason it just doesn't seem as memorable as the second or first games to me.

RE3 and 2, can't say I really didn't care for RE1 or RE Survivor

Resident Evil 2, First one was excellent but the second is my all time favorite. Resident Evil 3 sucked.

I have to go with the original RE. RE2 is pretty fun, but it didnt feel as fresh or ground-breaking.

BIO HAZARD 2 was my favourite. I got my copy of the game as a special offer alongside the official BIO HAZARD 2 ASCII controller (which I still have brand-new sealed). The controller came with a small set of herb tea that resemble the herbs you can collect in the game.

I miss Dino Crisis series :( so my vote goes there

Though i loved RE3, Nemesis was epic, only surpassed by Silent Hill of course.

Never played RE2 and 1 was good but not that great.

Resident Evil 1. When I first played that game I had a feeling I thought I would never get from a video game, fear.(was very young then) Funny enough though, now, I think the game is more funny then scary specially the voice acting and cheesy dialogue.

I´ll go with RE2,that game is still great till this day. : D

Resident Evil 2, RE 1 was good but RE 2 was bigger and more scairer.

Definitely the original. It was the first of the series I played, I and I remember how eery it was to just be locked in in that mansion. I of course loved RE2 and 3, but the original still beats them in my opinion.

Personally, I think Silent Hill is way better than any of 'em. But if I had to pick up, then I would pick 2

Since it's PSX only, I will say RE2. If only they would remake it like they did the first one, it would be like, the best thing, like, ever.

Of all the games my fav has to be the remake of the first one on GameCube. The chilling and pressuring atmosphere of that game is in the same league with Silent Hill 1, if not even better.
