I find that Captian America and his Avengers to be my favorite :). What is yours?

Mine might be "Death & Return of Superman" as it had enough similarity to games like Final Fight and TMNT Turtles in Time where you could throw enemies all 4 directions and you also got the chance to play as more than a single character throughout the game.
Other games I enjoyed were X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, Wolverine: Adamantium Rage, Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems and The Incredible Hulk - where if you took enough damage you had to run around as Bruce Banner. Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety were also great. I also had fun with the Spider-Man game based on the animated series.

Not sure if it was released for SNES but I know it was on Genesis, they had a Batman fighting side-scroller game I used to play.psufootballThere was a Batman based on the movie on Sega Genesis which was exclusive, or at least seemed to be enough different from the Batman game on NES. There was also Batman Return of the Joker on Gensis and NES. Your post about Batman reminded me of the really fun Batman & Robin game that was on Genesis and was also on SNES.
X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse and Marvel Super-Heroes: War of the Gems were both awesome games. 2 of the best games on the system, IMO. War of the Gems was greatly overlooked by many, though, since it was released late in the system's life when many gamers had already moved on to Sega Saturn and PS1.Emerald_WarriorIf I remember right, the MSH game was loosely based on the Marvel Superheroes Capcom fighting game, but due to the limitations of the SNES they decided to do more of an action side-scroller. MSH on SNES, in that sense, might be considered a sequel to the X-Men game. At the very least it was a lot better than Spider-Man & X-Men: Arcade's Revenge.
When it was out I liked it. Because other than Batman games, this was like the only game to feature DC characters. But for a fighting game, it was pretty lacking when you consider it was up against stuff like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, Art of Fighting, and Eternal Champions at the time.justice leaque task force

[QUOTE="chefkw"]I would have mentioned it first, but I took the meaning of Superhero to be Marvel and DC-comics based video games. Well techinically TMNT was a comic book first, even though their popularity sprang from the cartoon. So I guess it's considered super-hero.TMNT4 was tops. I really liked Batman Returns too.
