A lot of us have played other action-adventure games that follow the same format as the Legend of Zelda series (save for Zelda II and the Four Swords games), so I want to know is what your favorite Zelda clones are on the Legacy Platforms?

My faves:

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (PS2)

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (PS2)

Beyond Good and Evil (PS2)

Beyond Good and Evil (PS2)

Star Fox Adventures (GameCube)

Star Fox Adventures

There is a couple more I want to mention, but I played them on not yet Legacy systems, so... :P

Why do all action adventure games have to be Zelda clones? Anyways, Darksiders.

edit: Whoops accidentally thought I clicked a system wars thread, but I guess I'll go with Okami.

I never said all action-adventure games were. Just those that actually do have a lot of what Zelda had in their gameplay.

Darksiders doesn't belong to the legacy platforms, but it's still my pick.

Argh, beat me to it.

Also Landstalker, although it's more 'inspired by' than a clone.

To be honest, even games that were inspired by something else can still be clones.

The only Zelda clone I played that I can remember is Star Fox Adventures on the GCN.

Legend of Kay. Even the GameSpot review mentions it's a lot like Zelda

Beyond Oasis (The Story of Thor)

Golden Axe Warrior

Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu II)

Seiken Densetsu III

I'm not sure if Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu III can be considered Zelda clones but they're freakin' awesome nonetheless :P

I don't like adventure games that much, but a friend of mine loves Arkista's Ring for the NES. It's a mediocre Zelda clone, but he's really had an obsession with it as long as I've known him. He even invented a game to play back when we were in Elementary School during recess based on the game.

The greatest 'Zelda Clone' ever made is Illusion of Gaia.

I don't like calling it a clone though because that game should stand by itself.

I also had fun with Willow on the NES.

Rambo on NES has similarities to the side-scrolling parts of Zelda II, which I hadn't really noticed before I saw the video by AVGN.

I swear THIS game was a Zelda II CLONE. i had it growing up, got it for christmas, and it was entertaining, but sucked ass in the long run.

Never really played the GBC version though I'm not sure I could get over the changes for nostalgic reasons.

Nah, once Neutopia proved to be better than the original product (2D wise) no one else could come close.

Alundra 1 on ps1 and psn is an amazing Zelda-ish game. It has the most hardest puzzles to figure out, and is a very long game. A+ in my book.

Wild Arms 1. Granted the fighting was turned based, but all the adventure elements were extremely Zelda.
