Hello Everone,
I remember my childhood days when I used to play games on my PC such as Dave, Wolf 3D, Mario, Spacebar, Roadrash, San Andreas, and Halo Trial. My favorite game was Roadrash. Which was your favorite game during your childhood?

My favourite was Sonic 2 played that game for years as a kid. Another honourable mention is golden axe.

YuGiOh Duelist of the Roses. This psudo strategy game was so much fun as an 11 years old boy.
I actually like Forbidden Memories on PlayStation when I was 16 years old. That game introduce me to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh before I got into the 4Kids anime series.
My earliest favorite games when I first started playing video games when I was around 5 years old were Super Mario Bros. 3 and Ninja Turtles 2/3 on the NES.
A few years later when I got into the 4th generation consoles, my favorite games were Donkey Kong Country, Turtles in Time, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
Then as the 5th generation rolled in and I was getting near my teenage years, my favorite games were Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye 007, and those amazing wrestling games such as No Mercy that were on the N64.
@davillain-: I also played Forbidden Memories as a child, but even as 10 years old boy I hated this game, unlike Duelist of Roses. FM had terrible battle system. While it had the cool exploration of random fusing monsters, the battle system was only about that. There was no cost for summoning monsters, the only thing outside strong monsters were field spells and Raigeki. The way of getting cards was broken as hell. You get only one card after each battle, most of the time it was bad card. If you want to get good cards like Blue Eyes? You have to pay about a million stars, and you get from each battle five stars max.
It was just bare bones Yugioh.
On the other hand, while DoR battle system wasn't great (it is like worst Fire Emblem), the game is way above FM. Monsters had effects, spell and trap cards were everywhere with usefull effects. Field spells are now much more strategic, because they affects only spesific squares. Also, monsters had cost of stars, and even the fusion mechanic came back from FM. Getting cards is now more fair in DoR. When you win, all the opponet cards you beat are aviable to get from a roulette. If you are lucky enough to get the same card in all 3 times, you get instead storng monster, like Summon Skull or even Blue Eyes.
Even despite FM was one of my first games, it was bad, especially for me who played real Yugioh beforehand. Dor on the other hand, wasn't really a yugioh game, it was pretty unique strategy game. Of course it is not good as Fire Emblem and Valkria Chronicles, but as a 11 years old boy? It was such a blast.
Another great memory of mine was powerstone on DC spent hours upon hours on that game. Would love a sequel or remake but doubt that will ever happen unfortunately.

Forbidden Memories sure was a broken POS Yu-Gi-Oh game, the cards were so easy to fuse without using Polarization card. I use the cheats/mod to play the game and beat it at the time. I did played the Gameboy Advanced & Nintendo DS Yu-Gi-Oh games and now, the only Yu-Gi-Oh game I'm still kinda playing is just Yu-Gi-Oh: Legacy of the Duelist on PS4.
Edit: The only YGO game I never played was Dungeon Dice Monsters.
My favorite young childhood games were Banjo Tooie, Shining Force, and Pokemon Silver/Gold by far.
I was also really into Jet Set Radio Future, Mechassault, Super Mario Sunshine, and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle but by that point we're reaching into later childhood.
I used to like Syndicate, Populous, Black & White, Mechwarrior 3, Desert Strike, Shining Force, UFO: Enemy Unknown, Dirt Rally 2, V Rally 2 Extreme and Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War: Retribution: The Last Stand.
I just wanted to list a load of games, sorry.
Are you like a wannabe mod?
No, and don't think being informative makes me anything of the kind. Doesn't change that the topic is done to death, and recently.
What's with the attitude regardless? Do you like the same thread reposted every day like spam_
During the early days, it was probably something on PS1... like Crash or Gran Turismo.
During high school, it was games like Half-Life 2 and Halo 1/2.
@RSM-HQ: you're just always calling people out for breaking sorta pointless rules. eh I don't mind it forums have been a bit dead lately
Mostly I chat about games actually you can check my history as proof of that. However if you think telling new Users not to bump Necro threads/ or make 'Best Game ever' threads every other day, maybe that tells more the issue on GD; whether it's "dead" or not.
If you want to bring life to the Forum maybe instead of trying to patronise someone who's being informative, make a creative and fun thread yourself!

Not trying to side anyone here but I was always told to never bump old threads and just make another one with the same questions is what I was told a long time ago. I really haven't seen that many threads asking what's your favorite game and such. If anything, new users don't know any better such as the TC here looking at the membership statues. Most importantly, if it helps keeps this place active, I'd welcome new users despite asking the same thing, this forums happens to be my favorite to talk about games, it's a safe heaven if you will and most importantly, I enjoy discussing games with you RSM-HQ :)
@davillain-: When I wrote that link post a 'favorite game' thread was made just the week before and still got activity. I simply posted a link to it, otherwise we're all repeating ourselves like bots.
But I see your point of view, some people are new here and I need to keep that in mind.
I loved to play spyro on my ps1. Those days were the best.
If you really love Spyro games on PS1, were getting a Spyro remastered treatment for the PS4/Xbox One this September AKA: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. I too love Spyro games back on PS1 and totally gonna buy Spyro Reignited Trilogy day one this September!!!
i think my game tank, mario
You can watch any new cinema movies, tv show and anime with multiple subtitles at http://123free.net

I think everyone should should think a bit like you do. What a very positive thing to say. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside..!!
I agree with you I like to share with new users as long as it's a genuine thread that is even if it's the same question as sometimes my answer may change.
I also enjoy my quirky little discussions with RSM-HQ. Gamespot would be a pretty dull place without them..!!
@arushi111: Didn't really do much gaming in my childhood, but of all the games I have played, Far Cry 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution are the best!
Depends on era. Super young was arcade stuff, and a lot came to console.
My most cherished ones were the games I did on PC, there was just a world of experiences and believe point and click games were just as immersive as today's VR, just like text adventures were the generation before me's escape.
When it comes to consoles, my love has to be with the PlayStation 1. It was filled with so many amazing games I could name a dozen franchises that shaped my entire gaming life, Resident Evil would be the big one I fell in love with, but still, THPS, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Crash, Tekken, Gran Turismo, Oddworld, Spider-Man and Grand Theft Auto.
Another great memory of mine was powerstone on DC spent hours upon hours on that game. Would love a sequel or remake but doubt that will ever happen unfortunately.
God I love the Power Stones, but yeah, the franchise will probably never come back. I was entering adulthood by the time the Dreamcast came about, so I'll say my favorite childhood game was probably Quake. One of the first 3D games I ever played. Blew my little mind.
Pokemon Red - i was addicted to that game lol
other honorable mentions are:
Super Mario Land (gameboy)
Street fighter II championship edition (Genesis)
X-men VS Street Fighter (Arcades & Sega saturn)
Street fighter Alpha 2 & 3 (PS1)
guardian Heroes (Sega saturn)

Now that was the good old days of Pokemon. I too was addicted to Pokemon Blue and follow by Yellow. But when Gold/Silver arrived, I spend way too much time on those games and never look back on Pokemon Blue/Yellow lol.
