I have been renting from Blockbuster since I was playing NES games as a kid, and I'm sure I've spent more money renting and rerenting some great games....

These days, however are starting wear on my patience. For every Bioshock game they have, they have two rattatouie games. They've filled over two shelves with Madden and NCAA (which are both great franchises) yet they don't even have RE4 (Not even on the wii)

Today was the line! I saw Two Worlds on the shelves. They had exactly the same ammount of copies as Bioshock. Since Bioshock was all out (Madden wasnt) I decided to give Two Worlds a shot...You can guess exactly how I feel now. So I no longer have a Blockbuster unlimited game rentals account, and from now on, I'm depending on you all to let me know if a game is worth trying out. Y'all got my back???

Gamefly is the best way to go, but be warned shipping takes a few days.

I stopped renting really more or less once I got the dreamcast because thats when game prices went through the roof. Its like 9 dollars to rent a game for a week! Back in teh day of the NES, SNES and Genesis, it was like 1.99 for 3 days, which was good enough for me, play it friday, saturday and sunday, and return it sunday night before school started back up again. But I know what you mean, I occasionally take a look at mine, and all thye have is sport games and stupid little kid games!

I rented NES games from Blockbuster all the time when I was growing up. I recently tried to go back to renting due to the high price of next gen-games. Blockbuster's pitiful selection was enough to get me just to do more research before buying games. I went to five or six fifferent Blockbusters in my area, and none of them had a copy of Spider Man 3 or Fantastic Four for the PS3.

It blows my mind that Blockbuster will stock the shelved with RPG's and sports games that need 100 hours of play time to perfect, but won't buy any of the beat-em-ups or shooters that gamers would rather rent than buy. It just seems like such a poor business plan.

I got a gamefly account myself and I am pretty happy with it. It seems to take a little bit longer than I would like for turn around. In the beginning it was a 3 day turn around, but I think with more people hearing about the east coast facility they finally signed up and they have gotten a little bogged down. All-in-all though still cheaper in the long run than buying all those games.

Yeah I ended up signing up for it. Sorry I would've helped someone with the free wii but I signed up the moment I found out about it. I've got like 6 games on my list right now (Bioshock first) and some classics that I haven't seen in years! The best part is you can buy the games you rent if you like them!
