Ive never played Legend of Mana but FF7 and Chrono Cross are awesome in my opinion and I like them both equally. I will stay out of this poll because I already know who is gonna win this one.
I don't believe Chrono Cross deserves to be on a list with FF7. Chrono Trigger yes.. but the squeal was no where near as good. Plus why not Lufia 2? fastr

I have to go with FFVII only because I haven't played the other two. Overall I didn't really enjoy FFVII much. If I were to choose any PS1 RPG it would have to be Grandia.
Ya know, I didn't really like Chrono Cross all that much. Too many characters able to join your party, a somewhat boring battle system, and the plot was "eh" to me.
To be honest, I think "Legend of Mana" suffers from the same problem as the "Saga Frontier" games do; it just felt more like a string of smaller side quests without a true and solid core story narrative. Still a nice title, but not on the epic levels of "FFVIII" or "Chrono Cross".
You had two more spots for the poll, and "Vagrant Story" and "XenoGears" deserve to be up there!!
My vote goes to "FFVII" I guess between those three.

way to be a jackass. It doesn't change the fact CC isn't on the level of FF7. And why not, because you say so. Has ever occurred to you that some appreciate Chrono Cross more than your "almighty" Final Fantasy VII, some actually think of it as a better game, like me for instance, maybe that's why it's on the list. Think about it. Now, if we're talking about PS One era , I think Xenogears and Final Fantasy IX are better than those three games, but that's only my humble opinion so don't mind me, out of the choice you gave us, I'll have to go with Chrono Cross, though only because I enjoyed it more than Final Fantasy VII, and I haven't played Legend of Mana.
I've never heard of Legend Of Mana(didn't like Secret Of Mana much though if that's the same series), but Chrono Cross was one of the most eh JRPGs I've ever played, and FFVII's my second favorite(FFIX being in first) so I'll go with that.

I love how any time someone mentions FF7, they're automatically a "fanboy" just because some other bloke thinks its trendy or cool to hate on it.
FF7 is a great game. Its that simple, and its got nothing to do with "fanboyism".
Yup.. I guess machoping must be a legend of mana fanboy. also a hate on ff7 because everyone else loves it fanboy too. i am not a fanboy of anything and the reason i said we have a ton of ff7 fanboys is cause the poll results
I'll go with Chrono Cross, for some reason that game is stuck in my memory as one hell of game. I quite enjoyed Final Fantasy, although I never beat the last boss (not in my first playthrough on PS1, nor in my second playthrough on PSP, go figure).
As for my favorite game that is not in that poll (and should be :P): Vagrant Story!

Finally Legend of Mana gets some love. :)
I mean, really. It has replay value if you want to try to do all the quests.It has anarena to play against a friend, or with them, if you want. It's a very colorful game with a great soundtrack. Sure it lacks a larger story, but makes up for it for having a bunch of smaller stories.

I vote FF7, though I like the other games, and was a little dissapointed with Legend of Mana.
BTW, if you like CC that much start your own thread about it. Hijacking it and calling people names is lame.
Can't judge on Legend of Mana simply because I never got to play it. and while I did rent Chrono Cross, it felt quite the bastardization compared to Chrono Trigger. FF7 wins by default.
i started playing games a couple years before ff1, i've been lucky enough to be able to play all the games virtually in chronological order since release, as well as the 2 chrono games and legend of mana. im going w/ ff7, as with everyone else gaming is a personal preference but its by far my favorite.
