Just any good advice will do. I'm up to King Raithwall's Tomb and all my characters are Lv 20. I think I have everyone's quickening as well.

Hmmm. It's hard. So level grind. Also, on disc 3, you'll be given a save point maker because there is none. Don't use it until you're about to fight the final boss.

If you're at the tomb, I'm assuming you already fought the flying thingimajig. Anyways, aside from having your shell/protect buffs and decent equipment the tomb shouldn't be a huge issue. You'll run into a few boss/mini-boss fights through the time and they're all about as equally hard, but if you have quickenings then you should be fine. One of the mini-boss battles will be optional and you'll be able to avoid it no problem but I highly recommend you take it (more on that later) but in regards to strategies: One technique I used was using a quickening but trying to make sure I kept the amount of characters that attacked "per session" as low as possible. That way I'd still have at least one character who could use a quickening. Once the three characters that were on the field were done I would switch only one out for a new character. That character would use his/her quickening and there would be a fair chance that the MP-less characters could get a chain going on. Now assuming you beat the optional boss, two little paths will open up, they lead to the same place but different sides so it doesn't matter what you take. Make your way as far as you can go and you'll come across an area with Fire Flans. Run past them (avoid battles) and try to get to the middle of the area. There's a chance you'll see a treasure chest. If you see a chest, open it. There is a 45% chance you'll get gil, if it's not gil you have a 50% chance of getting a Holy mote. If you get either of those or not see a treasure chest at all, press start and go back to the title screen. Load your game up again and keep on going back to the same spot until you get what you came there for, a sword called Demonsbane. This sword will at least double the damage your characters can dish out and if you do this for every single character in your party you'll be golden...that is unless you choose to do a not-so-little weapon generating sidequest later on which involves you running through areas filled with monsters waaaayyyy above your level. For a more detailed description of the process (both the Demonsbane and other quest I mentioned) check out this FAQ: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/459841-final-fantasy-xii/faqs/45867

If I didn't get the sword, would I have to fight the bosses again or is there a save point nearby?

The closest save point for the tomb map is right outside the actual tomb where I assume you've saved. It's easily accessible before each boss fight you take on sans the main boss of the map which requires a few minutes of back tracking. Overall though it's a small map and as long as you saved after the optional boss fight you're good to go.

Not off the top of my head. You could do some LP farming which would inadvertently get you some Gil but from what I can remember, money was almost always scarce. You could try talking to Montblanc, he usually has some freebies to give as well as quests that could generate some funds. Another tip would be not to buy new armor sets/weapons/magicks unless it's been quite some time since you bought some.

If you check out the walkthrough I linked earlier and CTRL+F "The Barheim Sidequest", you can hunt down a weapon that'll make your demonsbane look like a butter knife. It is a very annoying side quest though and the chances of the weapon dropping is MUCH lower than the demonsbane. It also doesn't help that the areas you go into are waaaay above your current level, with monsters that can take a party member out in one hit walking around everywhere. If you do bother to go through with the quest and still feel like you can take more punishment, the sword also sells for 8,000 Gil so you could make a bit of money too.

I've tried taking on this side quest multiple times, and I've gotten up to the very end but my patience couldn't take it so I've never been able to reap the rewards...come to think of it I usually get so frustrated I stop playing only to come back months later and forget what was going on in the game forcing me to restart. I actually haven't gotten too far past where you are right now.

Aside: Come on guys, I know Final Fantasy XII was a love/hate game but I can't be the only one who played through the first X hours :P.

Try to move your characters into specific roles. It's better to have each character focused in one or two aspects rather than having an average party all around.

Also, game specific board http://www.gamespot.com/final-fantasy-xii/forum/platform/ps2. You should get more prompt and accurate responses from people actually playing the game right now like you, versus people like me trying to work off of 5 year old memory :P

I think all of my characters are pretty separated apart from roles and I'm trying to get a burning bow from the birds near the way to the sandsea but I'm having no luck... I wonder what the % of them dropping one is? all I'm getting are wing magicites which I can't even sell for decent Gil. And those weird giant glowing balls which I've been finding everywhere always seem so strong and finish off My party with one strike, I wonder if they drop anything worth getting.
