Has anyone heard rumors about a posssible FF7 remake? I've heard whispers and gossip... but nothing solid. (http://gamer.blorge.com/2009/12/28/nomura-hints-at-final-fantasy-vii-remake/) Also, any thoughts about if this is a classic case of "Don't fix what ain't broke"? And what console(s) would they most likely release it on?
Its been speculated upon for some time, and at this point no one really knows if it will ever happen. Id like it to stay relatively the same (other than graphics and a few other things) if they did make one.
If or when they remake Obviousy the graphics would be excellent, (square-enix rarely do bad with graphics) and the story would remain the same. But i would imagine they would have to add in alot of extra sidequests. After recently replaying FFVII on my PSP (which would be me mastering for about the 30th time :|) i found i went through it really fast, yeah because ive done it all before but i just mean in comparison to FFX or FFXII, as the seriers has gone on the legth of the games and the sidequests etc have gotten longer.

And what console(s) would they most likely release it on? square confirmed that they have no plans of making a remake. that happened not too long ago. good, we really dont need abysmal games like FF7 to return to this gens
As long as it's done right. Chrono Cross sucked. Very disappointed by that game to this day, despite the amazing soundtrack.
Going back to Final Fantasy VII and all, that's been talked about for quite sometime and once Square showed off that PS3 teaser trailer for it, that merely fueled the fire for such a thing to occur. But so far, nothing yet, and I highly doubt they will.
