Well you can beat the game in probally 50 hours play time, if you are to get all the secret items and do all the side quests it allot more time easily adds up. As you havent played it yet i can't go into to much detail about what happens coz i don't want to spoil it.
I have over 250 hours of game play in one save! I only have one thing to do in order for me to consider it 100% completed and that is defeat nemisis which my friend has done. Get it if its 10$ definitely worth your money.
It was worth it when it was 50$ are you kidding??? At 10$ your totally ripping off sqaure enix.
I beat it years ago and I just started playing again a couple of days ago after getting it off ebay and I am having a blast. If you swing by the message board for ff10 or look at how many faqs it has you would be suprised, its extremely popular even today.
Great deal for 10 and perhaps it could be worth something someday (much like FF7 is today) Aside from the investment aspect, it's a fantastic game as many have already said.
Definitely worth it, I picked it up a long time ago when it first came out for like 50, and I was happy with it. The blitzball part got frustrating to me, cuz i never won any games, especially the first one.
Your probably right i haven't played the story through in a while..
It took me 78 hours to complete, and I did no side quests. I didn't even do the Monster Arena (the place where you choose which monster(s) you want to fight)
It's definitely worth $10. Hell it was easily worth $50 back when it came out. Great story, one of the best soundtracks in gaming, and for once in the series turn based combat rather than the ATB system (which some people hate though I loved it since it allows you to plan out what you're going to do). The graphics are some of the best on the PS2 as well. Overall it's my favorite FF game by far and one of my favorite RPGs. The only things I didn't like were that it was a bit too easy (if you level your characters well the only fights in the game that are challenging are the monster arena fights, but the difficulty gap between those and the rest of the game is so huge that you need to pour in tons of time grinding and farming to have a chance in hell of beating anything in there) and the way that the characters would look western in most of the game but suddenly become very Asian in the high res cutscenes was very jarring/annoying. Also, the voice acting was mediocore. But it's still a great game and definitely worth owning if you have a PS2.
