SMB, Duck Hunt, Combat, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Zelda, Rad Racer, Asteroids, Excite Bike, or Street Fighter, and maybe a few forgotten options. My older sister had an NES, my best-friend since age 2 or 3 had an Atari 7800 given to him by his uncle, my baby-sitter had a Master System, and two sets of cousins had an NES. So, God only knows. I remember being extremely young (let's say 4 or 5?) and getting frustrated with myself for not being able to get to "The End" of Zelda. What five year old gets to the end of Zelda? SMB or Rad Racer maybe, but Zelda? As a child, I quickly came to appreciate conclusion in video games, which lead to a disinterest in older games and less nostalgia for not only games preceeding the 8-bit generation, but the vast majority of arcade titles.

My worst memory, though not first, is Robo Cop for the NES. Whats worse, I chose the game over Skate or Die, then played Skate or Die at my cousin's house and began to kick myself. I was probably 7 at the time. Then, in repent, I found another "extreme sports" games. You could surf, skate, etc. and all the characters had little masks on. It was just as awful as Robo Cop. "You can find really good games at pawn shops, you know!".....thanks Dad.

It was probably the original Super Mario Bros. for the NES. The first game I actually owned was Sonic Spinball which came with my SEGA Genesis on that fateful X-mas morning.

Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt on the NES and Asteroids on arcade. I remember back when I was younger, my dad had a working, almost mint-condition Asteroids arcade machine on the back patio. I played that game everyday when I came home, even if it was raining outside. When I was 5-years-old, he taught me how to hack the machine so that I didn't have to put quarters in all the time. Fond memories indeed...
