I'm married, and we have 2 kids. I usually play after everyone goes to bed a few nights a week. As you get more priorities, you definitely have to manage your time differently, but that doesn't mean you have to stop.

You make it sound like people work from 9a-5p and then sleep from 5p-9a. There is a massive amount of post 5pm time before you eventually call it a night. If you don't have kids, you can do whatever you want during that time. Not to mention that I doubt you party from 12:01 am saturday to 11:59pm sunday. There's tons of free time to do what you want. Especially if you don't have children.

If you work 9-5 you have at least 5 hours after work to do whatever the hell you want, and not all weekends are spent doing something.

Even though I'm a full time college student I also work full time in a lab. My major is neuroscience which as you can imagine is one of the hardest majors you can take in college. I work in the lab seven days a week for at least 40 hours, usually more like 50 (depends on what needs to be done that week). Even with all of that I still find plenty of time to play games. It's certainly not as much as I used to game in high school but that's actually due more to my internet addiction than anything else.

So considering that I can be a full time student on top of working full time and still have time for games I'd say that it's fairly safe to assume that someone working a 9-5 job will have no problem finding time to game. If they have kids they'll probably have lot less time, but they'll still have time nonetheless.

Im married, but have no kids. Its the way to go IMO.

As far as gaming time, well I pretty much game the same way I did all through school. If you look at it, your school schedule was your preparation for entering the work force.

I just recently graduated from college, and now I'm starting to look for a full time job. I work part time now, and have loads of free time for gaming. I don't go out on the weekends because I'm not into partying. I also work on the weekends.

I think you might find that in life things come in stages. What I mean is that unless you get the job of your dreams right out of college you might find yourself working odd hours or even odd days. Like *gasp* the weekend! I'm married with three kids and although it's increasingly harder to find the time to game, I still do, and have for years. My point is that just like eating or sleeping if you enjoy it you will find the time to do it.

I just graduated from college, and while I haven't yet found a job, I can't really see why you wouldn't be able to game as much if not more than in high school. The hours of high school are basically the same as a standard shift job, and there isn't any homework other than home maintenance. I don't really see the problem.

Like the previous posters I work 45-55 hours a week and have two kids anda wife. I game after they all go to bed, Usually from 10:00 to 1:00 every night. When I first got married I played very little ... better "things to do". Then when I had my first kid I couldn't play very much ... the whole new parent to scared and tired to pull attention away from kids thing. You get over that after awhile.
