Isn't it better to just go out a get a "next-gen" console?tsduv21meh, I used to be a lemming and love console gaming but now I just hate it. The only problem I have with console gaming though is that its dumbed down for the masses :(
I love how PC gamers think they're superior to and more enlightened than console gamers. I hear as soon as you switch to PC gaming your head immediately swells to three times its normal size.
I also love when you put details about your "rig" in your sig. "6GB RAM, Alitron 99000 GPU, Homonad 456 CPU, Renegayd600GB hard drive". LMAO.
well hermits might not be superior to there console counterparts they are generally more enlightened. and whats wrong with people wanting to show off there awesome computers?I love how PC gamers think they're superior to and more enlightened than console gamers. The people who believe DX10 is not worth it are short sighted to the point where they're considered blind. It's the same cycle of being cheap ("Oh, DX10 is too expensive right now", Key word buddy 'right now') and de'ja vu dumb (Yes, like we all rushed out and got DX7/DX8/DX9 cards when they were released. No we didn't).

So, what you're saying is it's not worth it right now.

yeah......right........of course in my country there is no copy right stuff so I buy it about 1US$ and games about 2-5 US$ , so in my case it is worth it........nvidia geforece 8800 ultra in around 400 US$, windows vista is 3 US$ ........ so if I want a high-end gaming technology I must spend 450 US$ for eternal fun

What can I say? Maybe PC gamers are just fed up with all the people who honestly believed Halo was the first of its kind.
Maybe they're also fed up with the constant delusional fantasies that PC gaming "is going to die!". Which console enthusiasts have been trying to ram down their throats since the late 90s.
I also love when you put details about your "rig" in your sig. "6GB RAM, Alitron 99000 GPU, Homonad 456 CPU, Renegayd600GB hard drive". LMAO.
Are you saying that because PC gamers are dedicated tech enthusiasts they are somehow lame? By that token, a substantial number of car owners are geeks.
As for DX10, it really depends on the game its being used in. The Flight Simulator X comparisons are noticeably amazing and the differance between 9 and 10 is clear. However, none of the Crysis demos using DX10 have really impressed me anymore than the DX9 demos. I can honestly say I didn't see much to warrant its purchase and use for Crysis alone.
It's going to be a while until we see a variety of games optimised for DX10. You only need to look at Crysis to see the potential it has. Right now I don't think it's worth it, unless your current PCis in need of an upgrade anyway. Idonomeus
I've been stuck in the decision between PCI-Ex and AGP. Everyone keeps telling me to go PCI-Ex fully, but every now and then I hear some wacky rumor talking about some kind of "AGP-Ex" slot being developed. Meh, as long as my 7800 GS can handle Crysis, I imagine I won't have to fear its obsolescence for some time.
