Red Zapper. When did they make the change and which was first?JetLagz28
The gray one was first. The color was changed because of a federal law. (in America at least) I own the gray one btw.
I have the orange one. The grey one was a stand alone product, the orange one was included in the NES Actionset.
Which bundle was that? I remember seeing Duckhunt and the Zapper sold separately in grey, but I brought the ActionSet and it came with a Orange one. Maybe they were just two different lines, who knows.householdman
The action set first had a gray gun. That is the one I have. Then Nintendo switched to the red gun for the reason I mentioned before.

That actually sounds pretty cool, as long as you avoid accidentally spraying the lense. :P
Anyway, I own the orange gun. I have no complaints.

yep, i have one right here in my room. But the tv i have my nes hooked up to is not compatible. U gotta use an older tv with the zapper.......blah
I had the grey one that came with the big NES pack with the powerpad. The super scope was great too. The Wii blaster can't hold up to those beauties.

You don't need an old TV. I have a new Sanyo SD TV. It works perfectly.

haha yeah I had that, I think it was 3rd party though... it sucked though, I can't remember any games that worked well with it, and I only used it for the action buttons
Actually it was licensed by Nintendo, so it was an Official product or first party! And I used it once or twice with Mario 2 and it worked ok
