LEGEND OF ZELDA: FOUR SWORDS is the purest definition of "good idea done wrong" you can find in gaming history.
The premise was so absolutely brilliant that its almost rediculous that Nintendo managed to screw it up. I mean, making another Zelda game in the style of "Link to the Past", adding some of the Wind Waker's artisitic and effect touches, and making it multiplayer, should have led to not only one of the best Zelda games of all time, but one of the best multiplayer games of all time period.....
.....except that Ninty got greedy and decided to make it a gimmick to sell GBA cables and units.
Seriously, if this game allowed you to simply plug in the extra paddles using the NGC's four-port design, (as opposed to requiring all the extra GBAunits and link cables)it would have easily sold 5x what it did, and people would still be raving about it to this day. Instead, its like the ugly stepchild of the Zelda franchise.
