how on earth did you arrive at the conclusion that G4TV is "mostly about video games and tech" ??? G4 was instrumental in stripping the video game and tech content out of everything they have aquired, to the point you are more likely to find COPs reruns than anything game or tech related... lament the day G4 bought TechTV...
besides broadcasting a turd in HD , does not make it anything more that a turd...
Ok. so there are a lot of shows on G4TV that don't deal with either tech stuff or games, but still. Really all I watch on t.v. anymore is AOTS and X-Play and it just sucks having to watch SD on a big HDTV, and yes, Olivia in HD would be very nice.
Ok......G4tv is just crap now.....only 2 hows really get into video games and all the rest are about nothing. I just wish the old G4 came back and the old Teh TV came back. I miss Call for Help and stuff like that.
I used to wonder the same thing. I guess the channel isn't popular enough to justfiy the cost of having an HD version. Cinematech would be sweet in HD.
Well, I'm kind of bummed to see so much hatred towards G4TV but hey, it's your opinion. I basically just record record X-Play and AOTS and thats enough for me to like G4. I'll tune in for some Ninja Warrior every now and then but it's just not enough to make me hate G4. Sorry you guys feel that way. And yes the women of G4 are hot... very hot.
would make a bit of sense to do HD for this channel, particularly with the new games in HD, they could broadcast their channel in 720p (that is the resolution in most of these games).
Now that I think about it, it is somewhat of a good thing for the video games industry that G4TV is very diverse. A lot of my friends who are not gamers and who are casual gamers started watching G4 just for shows like Cops 2.0 and Ninja Warrior. Then, every now and then, they would leave it on and watch AOTS or X-Play and it got them a little more into gaming. One of my friends that was a non-gamer saw a segment on Sins of a Solar Empire and really got into the game after they played it on my computer. So G4 is attracting a lot of people that are not big gamers, and then introducing them to the industry.
