I played mostly Game Cube in the past gen and I am restarting my GC library now, so far all I have in Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble(I'm not thrilled with), and Metroid Prime(I am thrilled with). I think the only games I missed out on were Killer 7, Eternal Darkness & Star Fox Assault. I had Metroid Prime 2 before and didn't like it from the start and I'm wondering if I should get it for GC anyways and see what comes up later or get it along with Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii when I get one, or just not get it altogether. I haven't heard much about Star Fox Assault, or Killer 7 before but I've heard tons of good about Eternal Darkness.

I just got a Game Cube and Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. I LOVED the game. It got me really hooked on the Legend of Zelda series.

Eternal Darkness is one of my favorite games of all-time. It's definitely one to get a hold of. Killer 7 is unique, but I know many (myself included) who love the game. Some other good games is Luigi's Mansion, Legend of Zelda: Windwaker (and other Zelda games), Pikmin 1 and 2, Tales of Symphonia, Star Wars: Rouge Squadron games, I personally like the Pokemon games (though not everyone does), Animal Crossing, Mario series, Resident Evil 4 (and all the other RE games they re-made for GC), Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and I believe that's about all I can think of right now.

Both of those consoles have better graphics, and if you argue that fact your in denial. So because of my preference, I really only like the exclusives. In fact, I already own all the GC games I want to own, except Super Smash Bros. Melee which I still need to get: -Legend of Zelda: Windwaker -Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess -Metroid Prime -Metroid Prime 2: Echoes -Resident Evil Zero -Sonic Gems Collections -Super Mario Sunshine -Gameboy Player I don't need the Zelda Collector's Disc because I have all the original games on NES and N64 already, and I already have Resident Evil Director's Cut for PS1, so I don't need the REmake, and I have RE4 for PS2. That's my two-cents on the Gamecube. -Nate-

Zelda and Mario I already owned and beat before and I will pick them up again but they are not a priority, I never finished Tales of Symphonia but I loved it as far as I played it. I also never finished RE 4 but RE & RE0 I did finish. I'm mostly interested in playing new(to me) games. I also never tried Pikmin and I was kinda thinking the wii version would be better but I don't think wii has pikmin 2.

I am going to be checking my local game stop as much as possible and go to amazon for what I can't get there. It's good to hear all the games I was interested in there are people to vouch for them. Right now I'm playing Metroid Prime and loving it just as much as before, but now I'm playing it in 480p it just makes something pretty look even better.

Metroid Prime 2 gets really good, did you give it a good try because it takes a while to really suck you in but once you reach Torvus Bog things start to feel a little more Metroidish.

True, I'm playing it right now. Playing it in progressive scan really makes a difference btw.

You should finish Metroid Prime 2, they made the game darker and a little more intense, some of the parts were you go to Dark Ather are creepy, it is also more of a challenge.

not the ps2 because the GPU is less powerful than GCN and uses different tech than GCN. the data on discs limit graphics to a certain degree

this! , the ps2 was so weak compared to xbox or gc -gc was actually a little less powerful then a xbox , not by much , re4 had to be ripped in half graphically for it to run on the ps2 hardware ,, ps2 hardware was slightly more powerful then a dc but less powerful then a gc xbox and this gens wii

Ico, God of War I & II, Shadow of the Colossus, Gran Turismo 4. Those games are all beautiful. But I really liked the Metroid Primes and Twilight Princess still. Regardless, I was referring to multiplatform games, read closer. -Nate-

this guy is right about the games on ps2 but they may look better because of how much room you have on a disc

I would def recommend picking up skies of arcadia for gamecube. It is a typical rpg and not very innovative...but it delivers in the story, characters, charm, and overall presentation department.

i would also recommend the resident evil remake.

I don't think there has ever been a game that looked better on the PS2 than the Gamecube. The PS2 was notorious for getting inferior ports.

I LOVED Eternal Darkness. The right amount of creepy and it has a great story. I also thought that the Baten Kaitos games were gorgeous, despite some shudder-inducing voice acting.

Resident Evil 4 is the best GC game and the reason people say WW is imo is because RE4 went multiplat but that does change it being the best last gen

Cheesemanook
I just ordered that game. My personal Gamecube collection is complete with that acquisition! Like I said before, I'm really only going for exclusives on Gamecube since I already own an Xbox and PS2 with tons of games. What I've got in my personal complete GC collection: Gameboy Player, Legend of Zelda Windwaker, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Resident Evil 0, Sonic Gems Collection, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee (I already have RE1 on PS1, and RE4 on PS2, and Sonic Mega Collection on XBox, as well as the original Zelda releases for old systems so no need for the Zelda Collector's disc). -Nate-

Paper Mario TTYD. Buy it, play it, love it. And I am catching up on a bunch of GC games I missed as well. Just bough Killer 7, Chibi Robo, Paper Mario TTYD and Metroid Prime 2 last week. Only started playing Paper Mario 2, but I'm about half way through. All these games have to last me until SMG2...

If you want to play the Metroid Prime series, play it on the Wii. Trust me.

Here's a list of great games

Legend of Zelda Windwaker

Luigi's Mansion

Mario Strikers

Fire Emblem

F-Zero GX

Mario Sunshine

Mario Party 5,6,7

The Metroid Prime Series (but I'd recommend saving it for the trilogy on Wii)

MarioKart DoubeDash

Starfox Adventures

Starfox Assault

WWE Day of Reckoning 2

NHL Hitz 2003

Resident Evil 4 (But i would buy the Wii version instead)

The PS2, at it's best, is more than on par with the Gamecube. Look at Shadow of the Colossus, Metal GEar Solid 3, God of War 1 and 2 and Okami. They are all, simply put, stunning and stand out for their generation

Eternal Darkness is one of my favorite games of all-time. It's definitely one to get a hold of. Killer 7 is unique, but I know many (myself included) who love the game. Some other good games is Luigi's Mansion, Legend of Zelda: Windwaker (and other Zelda games), Pikmin 1 and 2, Tales of Symphonia, Star Wars: Rouge Squadron games, I personally like the Pokemon games (though not everyone does), Animal Crossing, Mario series, Resident Evil 4 (and all the other RE games they re-made for GC), Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and I believe that's about all I can think of right now.Shidira

Great to see a list with Fire Emblem in it! It's one of those either-you-love-it-or-you-hate-it-games imo :P I lost count of how many times I played through that game...

I think Shidira summed it up pretty well apart from Ikaruga, the Metroid Prime games, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Odama (worth it for the bizarre experience :P)
