I just got a notice to renew my subscription to GI, one of the options is to take it to gamestop and get 12 issues for $14.99. $5.00 off regular price mailing it. So i was wondering if there are any perks for subscribing through gamestop?

It's tied in with their "Edge" card, which has your Trade-in dollars (if you didn't get cash) and is also used for discounts and stuff.

Sound good. I do kind of want to get a 24 issue subscription but they only offer 12. I Know that if you get cash for your games instead of using your trade ins for credit, they take a certain percent off your trade-ins. Can you get your credit put on on the Edge card wihile retaining full value?

With the Edge card, you get 10% off all used games and accessories. If you trade games in, you can put the money on the card, I believe. Honestly, if you shop at EB, it's pretty much worth it. Even if you only spend $20 a year there or something, that makes the magazine subscription cost another two dollars less. I love EB, and I really enjoy GI. It's great for me.

There are 2 basic advantages to renewing your subscription at gamestop 1. It's significantly cheaper than doing it online or by mail 2. You get a the edge card, which gives you a 10% discount on used games
