What do you think or know is healthier for your hands when it comes to gaming, keyboard/ mouse or gamepad? I am not asking which is more accurate I simply want to know, to prevent future injuries, which way of gaming is less stressful on your hands/ wrists?

As a follow up, is something like the Move or Wii remote/ nunchuck better for your hands than regualr gamepads? Thanks for any input. Any advice or links would be appreciated.

No controller is ergonomically correct but you can buy an ergo keyboard and mouse.

i have gamed intensively for about 24 years now. i'm now 33 . It's quite simple a controller wil give you pain an arthritic symptoms in your thumbs, mouse and keyboard in vingers, wrist and arms. It's the worst in your fingers, since you have more fingers than thumbs i would suggest the mouse keyboard combo and it's more precise :)

I've been playing PC games since the 80's. I haven't had a single problem with fingers or hands. When I had an NES, I always had blisters on my thumb when using the D-pad especially from playing Contra.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I didn't have unlimited funds but I opted to spend a little extra on a mouse since mine usually die fast on me. Here the mouse I bought and the keyboard. Of course you don't have to get these. I am just giving you example. I am sure there are a lot more either higher in price and some may be lower as well. I got them last June/July and they are still going strong.

I do have to point out if you've never used an ergo keyboard/mouse before it will take a while to get use to them. I almost switched back to a reg mouse and keyboard becuase I was getting frustrated but now I am happy I stuck out the learning phase. My wrists thank me everyday;)
