Games in 2020! What Are You Looking forward to?

So I stumbled across this article : https://www.novatech.co.uk/blog/upcoming-pc-games-2020/ and im not sure If im going to be able to afford all of these games that are due to come out! 2020 could be the year for gaming looking at what's supposed to be coming! Here's the my top three (was difficult to choose) to look forward to :

1. Watch Dogs: Legion

2. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

3. Cyberpunk 2077

Interested to see what you're all looking forward to and what you would suggest to check out

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot looks like it will probably be a middling game at best, still pick it up though.

The new Guilty Gear game looks pretty dope.

Outside Animal Crossing it's a heavy wait and see what new stuff drop I guess. Would actually like a year in which no other games grab my attention. 2018/ 2019 became heavy years towards my interest in games.

A lot of the games known I've completely checked-out-

• Even as a lone defender up to D00M 2016s release Eternal looks a bit too edgy for me.
• The Last of Us Part 2 looks to be a more shiny version of its predecessor, which was too scripted for me.
• GhostWire hype dropped when Bethesda let Nakamura Ikumi kun go due to "creative differences".
• Cyberpunk is a "maybe". Didn't care for TW3 but acknowledge its appeal. CP needs to grab that Deus Ex itch. And frankly I'm not convinced they can.
• Elden Ring we know nothing about really, tough to get hyped on the project.
• Mildly hyped for Freedom Planet 2 but I get the feeling it's going in a different direction.

• Cyberpunk 2077
• The last of us 2
• Ghost of Tsushima early Fall of 2020 I'm guessing.

I don't know how I'm going to get to all of them, but I'm planning on buying:

• Streets of Rage 4
• Persona 5: Royal
• Persona 5: Scramble
• FFVII Remake
• Shin Sakura Wars
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Nioh 2
• Freedom Planet 2
• Doom: Eternal
• Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection
• Yakuza 3-5 Remastered Collection
• Yakuza 7

Cyberpunk is the only future release I'm worried about at the moment. I have enough backlog that I could probably not even buy a new game for 2 years.

It's a bit difficult for me, because we don't know most of Switch's 2020 lineup yet (still a lot to be revealed I assume). But this is my list from what we know so far:

• Bayonetta 3 (hopefully it's a 2020 release)
• Little Nightmares 2
• Animal Crossing: New Horizons (maybe)
• Halo Infinite
• Ori & the Will of the Wisps
• Doom Eternal

And a few of games I'm keeping an eye on are Empire of Sin, Gods & Monsters, No More Heroes 3.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons & I'll probably end up buying The Last of Us Part II.

Yeah that upcoming Dragon Ball game looks cool.

• Hollow Knight 2 - oh I guess it's still TBA, we'll see.

• Psychonauts 2, if only because I liked the first game 15 years ago.

Ahh, this one completely slipped my mind. I'll be picking this up as well. Loved the first game. Not getting my hopes up too high for it though seeing as it's been years since the original was released. :P Although I played the original for the first time in 2015.

@speeny: Yeah the first one is great. As long as the sequel is close to as good I'll be happy. I know Double-Fine has been having some issues because Tim is not very good at budgeting for games.

Just Cyberpunk 2077. Not seeing anything else interesting.

@uninspiredcup: I mean the whole fishing with his tail kind of left a sour taste imo, but the motion development they've added to battle situations looks promising ! Just checked out guilty gear as never come across it, and that is tempting me to go even further into financial troubles (after buying all these games).

@warmblur: Im a PC gamer, but the last of us part 2 is definitely making me think about diving into console gaming, the update in graphics looks incredible (as it should be as its unreal engine 4 if im not mistaken??) and the story line just looks insane

@Renegade_Fury: you have the exact same issue as me, so many games I want but the calculations for having all of them compared to whats in my account doesn't add up. But ill let future me deal with that later down the line :')

@pyro1245: I hate the I don't like wasteland, I understand the following behind the game but it's rare for me to find a game with a (third person perspective) view and enjoy it, I've always liked being drawn into the first-person perspective shooters (only exceptions are GTA and Dragonball but thats because of my following with the anime series anyway). But Doom Eternal is definitely one that i'll scrape the bottom of my penny jar for, the upgrades theyve made is too tempting! But looking through your list, i'm definitely going to find money from somewhere as my list gets longer and longer

That's about it. Everything else for 2020 is all about next-gen consoles, PS5/Xbox Scarlett will make their grand debut holiday 2020 and no, I will not be getting PS5 on launch day, I still have so much to do on my PS4 anyways and I'm an Avi PC gamer anyways. When will I get a PS5? I do not know, maybe 3 years after launch is my best guess.

@davillain-: Good little collection there! I'll check out grounded as well as haven't come across that one yet. Tales of Arise didn't really appeal to me as it's the typical romeo and juliet love story scenario between the two characters, but I guess if you've followed the whole Tales of series then it would be rude not to try it out :')

I agree not diving straight into the next-gen consoles, I personally don't see much reason/haven't seen much reason for me to pressure myself into the instant buy looking into what they offer, better value for money staying on PC and sticking to what I know

@granatowy: Wow that's a new one! How do you think this would work playing wise, probably competing in the tours etc, but will it be like button bashing for cycle speed etc?

I didn't play Spider-Man yet so I will look forward to it.

With the whispers of Resident Evil 3 Remake surfacing, that is high on my list.

I don't get the confliction around here to that game getting remade. And a weird niche crowd demanding Dino Crisis of all games. Resident Evil/ Biohazard is god tier of gaming, and 3 is one of the series most praised entries, that actually brought in staple mechanics used in every entry after. Why is all the 32-bit games getting an update so difficult to understand?

Dammit Streets of Rage/ Bare Knuckle 4 is releasing 2020 now. . Guess I'll add that to my list!
